The PL racing in Crandon was completely lame all three days. I never saw any racing going on, it was the Jeff Kincaid show with a bunch of also rans tagging along far, far behind. The Crandon track completely stinks for pro lites....its all horsepower and not much else. They need a track within the track for the slower classes. Rob, you didn't miss anything staying home....Kyle's ford was noticably out horsepowered, he didn't have a chance unless both Kinkaid and Hord broke. Even the mighty Huseman Ford of Ampudia's didn't look as fast as the 2 factory trucks.

So much for Jeff and Chad not being the guys to beat...
The other thing you have to take into consideration is track experience. Both of those guys could drive that track blindfolded if they had to. Testing to completely optimize gearing and shock valving helps too.
I'm pretty sure Chad is coming out for the last few CORR races, should be fun to watch.

No doubt Kincaids truck is perfectly set up for crandon and he probably really could drive that track blindfolded! Crandon really needs to be rougher, that would hopefully tighten things up. I hope Hord does come out, he could really mix up the points chase.

As long as I have been involved Kincaid and Hord, as well as Leduc have been the guys to beat. Hord and Kincaid are very difficult to beat at Crandon and Bark River and tough everywhere else. Especially if Kincaids motors stay together. You have to remember those two guys are the only PL racers with Factory backing. Actually I think they are 2 of only 4 in all of Short course with Factory backing. But if you look at last years Chula Vista races they were much easier to beat away from the home court advantage. Neither had a win in the last six races last year so they are definately beatable. I look forward to having Chad out west for a few rounds, It will be fun. Now lets see if my game plan of not using up my equipment with a week to get ready for Lancaster pays off. we have spent the last 3 months fine tuning, and bettering the truck in preperation for Lancaster, my confindence is sky high, and I cant wait to get back on the race track.

I'll bet Kurt LeDuc and Scott Douglas both wish they stayed home, both had huge crashes and have a ton of work to do for AV in 2 weeks.

this is why i really liked the short track when we ran it. i still think all the classes should run the short track except pro-2, pro-4, and super truck when the truck count gets a little higher.
rodney, were you ever around for the crandon short track? was the prolite race on the short track friday night?

I really liked the short track on Friday. Aside from losing turn one every lap I see no disadvantage. It definitely helps keep the racing in front of the fans.

I also thought the races on the Crandon short track were interesting as well. Maybe the high-speed back section is fun for the drivers, but in classes that don't have great turnout this year, the racing gets spread out a little too quickly for my taste.
