Just wondering what everyone is using for their CORR race radios? I have the PCI setup for desert racing in one of my rhinos....nothing in my CORR rhino. I'm thinking of either selling my PCI setup to get a short course setup, or just buying a short course system......

I need a handheld with headphones for my spotter....and obviously something in-car with me, and an in-helmet kit with a push to talk button on my steering wheel......

My PCI has never been real clear....I'm hoping that my new system will be easy to understand and communicate with - with really good coverage...

Any ideas? Racer X? PCI? Anything less expensive?

Thanks!

What kind of radio and intercom do you have right now? You should come by at the next race so we can check out your set up, we've only had great responses in Rhino's so far... We'll be at CORR next weekend if you want to bring it by so we can test everything for you and see how you have it set up. As far as moving stuff from one Rhino to the next, if you're running a 4 Link pro intercom, a single seat harness may work better for you, it connects directly to the radio and you can use the radio from your other Rhino.

The crew chief set up is a headset, hand held radio and radio interface cable, they run $399.95 and will talk to your existing set up.

PCI is the official radio of CORR and even more importantly, we're at EVERY CORR race to help you with any helmet or radio service and questions!

PCI is the official radio of CORR and we atend all events, our level of service and the fact that we are at your events should make your decision. We generaly recomend handheld radios for this type of racing do to the mud and water when washing your vehicles between events. Good luck with your CORR program and if you are having clarity issues with your PCI system stop by the trailer or PCI and we will dial you in!

Hey you guys!!! Thanks so much!!! I will definately stop by......I have two Icom's for desert right now, with the Pro intercom.....and it's just never been right. I'll check into that handheld setup.....that's a good price for the crew cheif setup. I may be giving you guys a call today!

Definately the handheld set up for both you and your spotter, But I recommend going with an earplug set up vs the earphones in the helmet, cuts out a lot of backround noise. It has been a definate plus having PCI at the races this year.

Thanks Rob...I didn't know they had an earplug set-up....cutting out the noise is a big plus!! Otherwise all Jason will hear from me is "huh?" and "whaaaa?"...

i have at least 4 years on my Racer X system with no issues.

definately get custom earbuds, they block out allmost all the noise from the engines making it super easy to hear your spotter. even the "semi custom" ones let in quite a bit of noise.

good luck!

PCI has been great at the races, Racer X is great too, We have used both (Racer X is local for us) (PCI has had the trackside support and hooked us up awesome as racers along with contingency) but they have not been on site like PCI. Haven't seen pciscott online in a while,,,,,,,,I guess I should change my avatar:D

Good luck at AV, we'll see ya there!

Get it from PCI as everyone is suggesting. Their Trophykart package would be perfect for the Rhino..two radios, helmet kit and headset for the spotter.
