10 years of working outside the family budget of time and money. A rust bomb given to me (unloaded by crane). A '64 body with nothing but a front end. Welding, wiring, plumbing, cussing and bleeding all by me in my garage. I learned a lot about VW's.

Go easy on me. I know it is ugly and far from done but it is all mine too beat the crap out of...:)

A Wiring junction box. Temporary solution to a lot of wires coming together.

brake light split
tail lights(park lights) and license plate light split.

I ripped out all the old wires and started over with a breaker system with home made harness(2)

Odyssey 925A battery, 100 amp cut-off switch and ford solenoid under back seat.
Breakers, switches and all the street legal crap up front.
Second harness taking the lights and engine/charging requirements to the rear.

Those 4-years of high school electronics finally paided off (so far).:confused:

Cool man, thanks for posting. The pictures/talk/video usually contain high dollar vehicles, but it is nice to see everybody's project. Take some pics when you take it out and enjoy it!

...test tract at work. Water hazard on the inside, steep banks and drop-off's on the outside or X-mass trees. When break is over, park it and back to the drafting table.:)

When plans and budget cross paths again....

1. Cage
2. duel port engine, built to last.
3. new tranny with the right 3rd and 4th gearing
4. adjusters on the front end.
5. fuel cell
6. race seats with harness
7. paint

....for now my only goal is to keep those beer drinking, car killing desert racing family and friends out of the drivers seat.:rolleyes:
