I pick up my motor on sunday and I decided that I am going to use a turbo 400 trans as the parts and the trans are just easier to get, repair, and cheaper. So my next question is I have been emailing a tech at TCIAuto over the past week explaining to him what i intend to use the tranny for and he gave me a quote for all the parts I need. I know a tranny builder here in Temecula and Rancho trans is here as well and Culhane (sp) is just down the road in Elsinore. Who or what would you do if you were going to be buying a T400? the local guy is prolly the cheapest, culhane and rancho are off road people and TCI is a brand new tranny and apperently they are well know and do awesome work. what would you do?

I've called Culhane a number of times from New Zealand and got great help. He's the one!

Culhane or Mogi, it all depends on if you want to drive north or south............

A turbo 400 should have zero issues with the power of a 4.3

I'd just put a manual reverse valve body in it with compression braking.

Culhane has done our tranny's for 10 years and we never had a trans take us out of a race.

+++ for Culhane, he'll give you what you need and not a lot of crap you don't.

Besides, who doesn't enjoy a trip to beautiful Lake Smellsomemore?
