The way things have been going at the other Primm events, those of us with reservations will probably be SOL. All the Pro-4 guys will get our rooms at the last minute. I did not use the discount code because of what happened at Primm. I would rather spend a few extra bucks and be sure to have a room.

The only discount code I was aware of was for CORR staff.

I don't think the track is fully built yet...probably going to be that infield behind Buffalo Bills where the SCORE races start.

American Excavating is out there this weekend building the track.

The 3 Primm Valley resorts are booked, but Gold Strike still has rooms, they are only a few miles up the 15.

There are 125,000 rooms in LV, so just stay there if Primm is booked. It's only a 30 minute drive (about the same distance as Potawatomi casino to Crandon)

SouthPointe in Vegas is good if you are going to primm. Very very nice rooms, reasonable rates and closest to Primm on the S side of Vegas.

Great choice on the Southpointe...awesome place.

I've had a bunch of people not familiar with Vegas email me about the CORR Primm race and ask questions...but the real deal travel time between Vegas and Primm in a vehicle on the road is about 40 minutes w/o any traffic...and nowadays there is big traffic in Las Vegas...

The mileage mapped on Yahoo is over 50 miles...so its not just down the road for those that don't know...there are no grocery stores, limited ice supply once the Terrible's store runs out and guarenteed to be a good time.

Remember to visit the "Tree Bar" if you're a first timer...it will be way fun.

Google Maps and MapQuest both show it at 32 interstate miles from South Point Casino to Buffalo Bills. Traffic won't be an issue on Saturday and Sunday morning when you're driving to the track (about 25 minute drive) Also South Point is definitely a good choice. Plus if you lose all your money there you can just think of it as supporting Brendan Gaughan's racing.

I dont know if it will make a difference in room availablity but the CORR block on rooms expires Oct. 17th. Meaning whatever has not been booked by Corr, racers and teams will become availible. So I would have to think there will be some availablity for a day or two after the 17th.

Yes, don't forget it's SEMA show week in Vegas so rooms will be at a premium if you can find one... South Point is still the best bet...

Let me know what anyone can do to help.

The rhinos, rzr, arctic cats, mules, mini bikes etc. all the racers bring(including the ones we bring)are bad enough with all the walking traffic let alone if corr let handicapp spectators bring em in too. Rent him a motor wheel chair, it will be much better for both him and everybody else.

I understand, I don't think a motorized wheelchair would survive.
I see some have issues with these vehicles. I think they should limit the quantity of these, but some are there for the wrong reasons. It is a shame that this may not work.
If this does not work out, he will not be able to go, or should I plant him in the stands all day? I have emailed CORR, we will see.
The overload of the unnecessary will kill my idea.

October 12th, 2007, 08:39
Wonder if they would let you put some sort of wheelchair "hanger" on the rhino, that will allow his some special access to the stands? Might be worth asking......NO ONE is supposed to be parking ANY rhinos, quads, pitbikes near the stands....it shouldn't be an issue of it being too crowded there, if they are enforcing that rule. I would think that one "handicapped" rhino might be allowed?

I saw 2 elect chairs at Chula Vista. I was suprised at how well they got around there. I think that is your best option.

We take our step father in law with us all over the place. He is pretty much half paralyzed one one side of his body. The big issue with pit vehicles are fire codes. This is the reason that you cant park them behind the stands. If there is an emergency, they (medics, fire, police, etc.) cant get in because of traffic.

If you are a team, and can drive him to the stands and drop him off, you are good to go. It's not so much driving around the pits on pit business, its people parking everywhere.

Good luck. Get hima an electric scooter, not the cheap BS, but a good one, they go all over the place.

Freedom Medical in Vegas rents electric Chairs...just tell them what you need it for. They are racers, and will steer you in the right direction! They will probably deliver it out to the race to save you the hassell of transportaion...but I'm not a 100% sure of that. Phone: 702-386-9997
