I can't believe they penalized Johnny for that. Look at the direction Carl's front wheels are pointing, he was trying to slam the door on greaves. The instant Greaves was ahead of Renezeder by a nose, it was Renezeders responsibility to lift off the throttle to avoid contact. CORR is quickly becoming nascar with all the whining going on.

I love that low rear facing incar camera, definately a very cool shot. Especially the shot of Renezeder behind Cenni over the finish table top.

awsome vid, but a 9 point penalty for what, when is CORR going let these guys race and not worry about a little contact, this closed course racing isn't it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another great video steve. I don’t think Greaves held is line very well. He pushed out kind of far and took up 3/4 of the track and that’s with the contact. I’m sure he would have pushed even more it he didn’t bounce of Carl. Look at the line Huesmen took behind it all, he held the inside line. Not sure if Greaves should have been panelized or not though.

Love that roost flyling out the back of Cenni's truck!! That is an awesome video!! Yeah.....it did look like Greaves went a bit wide, but looks like Renezeder chose to cut in rather than let off the throttle....seems like two racers not wanting to give up the corner......

100% agree that shot was sick!!!! Great video Steve.. That was a hard call but CR did have room to stay wide and JG had his wheels turned for the corner. Stuff like this is going to happen. In my opinion if it isn't a perpetual problem for a driver it is going to be tough to say what is on purpose and what is accident. How other drivers drive is part of the race and ultimately it is every drivers job to avoid being taken out. Lets not turn CORR into a bunch of whining and crying. It was great to see Adrian Cenni running up front, bummer about the motor. I think Adrian has the right attitude about this type of racing, if bad things happen one round pick up the pieces and come back stronger next time.

What an awesome video, seriously one of the best coverages of an event I've seen in a long time.

After reading through this thread, I am very surprised by what wasn't said. Johnny got penalized for not being related to the right people. Carl has gotten away with far worse manuevers without so much as a warning. The penalty on Johnny was total bs.

On the same note, in Wheatland this weekend, Carl got into Douglas entering a corner and that gave Johnny the lead. Carl ACTUALLY WAS black flagged for once, and boy was he whining about it. The nerve of someone penalizing a driver when he is at fault.:D

Things of this nature are the biggest issue when the owner of the series has a reason to play favorites. And CORR definitely is not the only series that does it.

Jonathan you are entitled to your opinion. I see in your public profile you list Johnny Greaves as your one of your two favorite racers. I understand, I've been known to support Carl. However you’re absolutely WRONG. In fact, Steve's video clearly exhibits Johnny wrecking Carl intentionally to make the pass (Steve's video is much clearer than the JumboTron roll at AV). Trust me Johnny has a history of wrecking anyone for his benefit. As you know Johnny races moto-x, he took the turn wide executing the classic door slam, then flat out wrecked Carl, and the best race of the weekend. Look at the video again, and notice how Johnny forced his truck from the inside line to the far outside line. He didn't hold his inside line; look at how much open lane there is on the inside of the turn. Plain and simple, Johnny wrecked Carl to take the lead. Earlier in the video you can see Carl raced Adrian clean, holding his lines, and did not wreck Adrian. Carl had plenty of opportunity to put Adrian into the wall, but didn't. Instead, Adrian and Carl put on a great show. They swapped back and forth giving people one of the best races of the weekend, unfortunately the side by side thriller ended, thanks to Johnny. Let me point out Johnny is so far down in points, he did this for NBC exposure. Johnny could care less about the 9 point penalty. Johnny gave his sponsors the win on NBC.

I too was at the Wheatland race this past weekend. I find it interesting that someone near and dear to you, expressed his frustration with the WSORR competition director’s poor decision to black flag Carl. I believe he called it a crappy knee jerk reaction. Since you were there, you’ll recall the Speed Freaks post interview with Scott Douglas as he pointed out his truck got “out of shape” possible due to a bent shock shaft that didn't get replace from his practice incident that morning. Just curious Jonathon did you happen to review any video? I did, several times, and it’s clear the black flag was absolutely an incorrect knee jerk BS call.

Your family favoritism comment is not worth addressing, you haven't a clue.
