Just got word that Chad Hord (the 2006 CORR ProLite Champion) will be racing at Chula Vista this weekend. This will be Hord's first appearance in CORR this year. Chad competed in and won the 2007 WSORR PL Championship. This kid is fast and should be very exciting to watch this weekend. ...will be very tough competition for Rob, Kyle and Casey.

Be nice to see him back. Wasn't his truck for sale a while ago?? Maybe I am wrong but I thought it was.

Chad Hord is always one to bring it. It will be great to see him out here.

I'm pretty sure Hord has a new '07 Nissan ProLite, and his '06 was his back-up truck. One of the few pro's with two trucks.

Here's a scary reminder for Fig ...Hord bangin' into the back of his bumper (at Bark River last year) just before he passes him. Watch the video here: http://www.robertnaughton.com/robert_naughton/Bark-River-rd9-in-car-cam.html

Stevo is right...

Chad has been racing his new 07 Nissan this season...

Todd Romano (SCORE / BITD Class 1 Desert racer) purchased Chad's 06 Nissan when he and Jorge came to Crandon to create havoc amongst the midgets.

Todd is expected to race at Chula Juana this weekend in the new to him Nissan...

With Chad in the mix it'll be very very interesting...and to think that Kincaid is all done racing for the entire season already...can or will he sit on the sidelines and watch?

It would be great to see Todd behind the wheel of a Pro Lite.

Although I head he's heavily medicated after having his knee scoped, I hope he makes a quick recovery and gets into the mix at CV.

I believe it is Todd Cuffaro (Hansen Ranch Racing SCORE / BITD Class 1 Desert racer) that bought Chad's truck... Could be wrong though, wouldnt be the first time...

Either way... Its great to see more Pro Lites at CORR

See ya all there in a couple days

Also know that Larry Webster from Car & Driver Magazine is driving Dan VanDen Heuvel Jr's ProLite. Not sure how fast he'll be, but I guess he's done some road and rally racing, and should provide some nice exposure for corr in car & driver mag. Also, just saw a post on Ross Hoek's site that Lee O'Donnell is coming.

ProLite should be pretty deep this weekend, maybe 20+ trucks. Now if CORR would bring back land rush starts things could get even more interesting. I miss land rush starts like at Crandon, Bark River and the old Chula.

Chris Brandt in his prolite and WSORR Single Buggy Champ John Fitzgerald are going to be there also. Hopefully they get rid of that no bump zone crap!

Land rush starts and a half hour NBC tv time. Isn't there a half hour expansion starting this race that we have not gotten the word on how it's going to be used?

The word is on the extra 30 min of NBC is that it will be used at CORR's discretion to add additional coverage for the best racing of the weekend. There is no doubt Pro-Lite is due for some major coverage, some of the best races this year have been in Pro Lite.

This weekend will be awesome in Pro-Lite, so I think some coverage will happen.

We'll see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No worries dude. Just got the truck yesterday; can't wait to get some time in the truck this weekend and check out how a Pro-Lite race looks from the back of the pack!

Cuffaro .... Romano...LOL Sorry Todd!

Todd the fast azz racer.

If it makes you feel any better, Todd "Rzr" Romano will be in Chula Vista as a spectator if he can make it down his stairs at home.

And since their name was brought up: A huge thank you to Dragonfire Racing ; Todd and Jack, who make the trek from Az. out to the CORR races to loan our team their incredible show Rhinos that you've seen in our pits.

Fig qualified 1st in prolite today, followed by Hord in 2nd. They were the only ones with lap times under 1 minute. Hord hit the k-rail on the final lap of qalifying and damaged the right front spindle and the wheel came off. They're working on the truck now. The top 6 will be inverted so hord and fig start on third row. Leduc and ampudia start in the front. Should be exciting.

It was a pretty good smack into that K-rail also. I was standing right there, all I say was a tire go flying with the rotor still attached, told my self, "must be a broken spindle" haha.
