I have a question about an idea I have for a custom set of spindles. The snouts line up perfectly with the bottom a-arms obviously, we are thinking about fabbing up a custom set of spindles that drop down an extra 2" which would cause the snout to be 2" lower than the bottom a-arms, which obviously means that the wheel and everything will not be mounted perfectly perpendicular to the bottom a-arms. I want to know if we try this, would there be any problems? will travel cycle be jeopradized? My truck is a show truck, so i dont plan on doing any gnarly derbbin, but I also do not want to experiment on a spindle that will not work.
any info from you guys would be amazing!!!
thanks everyone,
Corey

I assume it is a 2wd f150. It will be fine. Companies like fabtech (and others) already make lift spindles though, they have a 3.5" for your truck, if its just a show truck you might want to look into just buying one.

yeah I actually have the Fabtech 7.5" long travel kit on, but my new wheels/tires are 185lbs each, so Im affaid that the wheels might break off when driving on the freeway or something. so now were going to run Dana44s and fab a custom stronger spindle with uniballs. And I think my suspension needs a little more lift to totaly clear the wheel wells, etc... so its either experiment with 5.5" spindles or pay a lot more money to fab up a measly 2" - 3" dropdown bracket. and Im tryin to keep my truck as low as I can... the goal of my truck is to have a show prerunner on 44s w/ 20" wheels.
thank you so much for your reply bud, like I said any info is super appreciated. I just want the truck built right & right the first time.
