Maybe I'm being an overweight girlyman, but is the $20 parking going to be up on top of Everest again? I thought I was being smart last time, and instead of paying the $10 be shipped in I splurged and bought the high roller parking. The whole way down to the race I was dreading the hike back up. Maybe its like the Chargers games, and you have to stay the night before the game to get parking at the stadium. Any info ahead of time would help.

I'm heading down there in a bit. When I get back later this afternoon, I'll let you know what I find out.

Is there free parking? I didn't know you had to pay parking on top of paying for a ticket. This is going to be my first CORR event. I couldn't even find the CV track on Mapquest/Google maps, but I guess all I have to do is follow the crowd and look for the signs.
Is there a lot of parking? Or is it better to park offsite and walk/take a shuttle?

The track is out near the Coors Ampatheater.
No free parking unless you park way waaay out on the street. Then it's a hell walk just to get to the shuttle pick up. There's plenty of parking if you pay..

Are there restrictions on what you can bring? Can I bring my backpack with laptop and camera gear and bottled water? Or are outside food/drinks not allowed? How much is the cheapest parking?

I don't think they allow food and drink....last year I had to toss an unopened soda at the gate.

At the first race this year, we brought in food and drink without a problem, but they seemed a little unorganized. I won't be getting there until later in the afternoon. Any idea if it could be sold out by about 2:00?

Yeah parking was on everest again. They ran out of the " perfered parking " so the last of us that got in had the pleasure of parking at the top which was fine comming down but at 6pm after roasting in the sun it isnt fun. Hopefully tomorrow I get some better parking.

We got there around 10 or so and we got the preferred down on the flat, but we were out in BFE!
