Looking at the dirtsports feature in the newest magazine on Rick Johnson's Pro Truck, just occured to me . . . If you are gonna use the company logo, double check it. Just found this funny, now I know I'm not the only one that has done this . . .

That's embarrasing but as Tip pointed it out, it might be trademarked.

Had to do a double take on that one. You always see "our" being used for "are" (and vice versa) on many forums. Another one that always gets me too is when people use "there" or "their" for "they're". I'm sure there are a few more out there. ;)

Just thought of another one: "Your" used instead of "You're".

If you download the goggle tool bar for your browser it has a spellcheck button. It will check anything you enter into any box. The problem is remembering to click on the green ABC check sign......

Firefox browser has a spell check built in. I'd suggest you download it. :)
It doesn't check grammar though.

I noticed it too along with several typos and grammatical errors throughout the magazine articles.
What pisses me off is that Dirt Sports gives out the most recent mag's at every event so what's the point of my subscription when I can get one at each race before I get mine in the mail?

I have no problem supporting those that do such a great job at supporting our sport.
With out the folks at Dirt Sports I highly doubt that offroad would be enjoying the rejuvenized enthusiasm and fantastic national media coverage opportunities we are recieving currently.
My team is sponsored by Rockstar but I find myself buying them all the time with no hesitation.

Maybe because it's still fairly new? Did Off Road ever come out to races and do similar promotions?

Ha,ha. I am glad you all got a kick out of this, it shows how well subliminal advertising works. Now you will remember this Toyota truck. This was just a test to see who would notice, most do not notice it until they keep reading it over and over. Did you notice right away? Ya, right!

The answer to this is simple. The only way to insure the long term success of this magazine (remember Dirt Pilot, SCORE News etc.) is to insure the distribution of 70,000 per month. We go to events to meet our subscribers, cover the event and more.
Kritter, you are one of those 70,000 that go to every event. Most don't. Sorry you feel that $11.00 per year isn't worth it. By the way, we are always looking for good editorial talent around here to catch all those typos and grammatical error....

C'mon now marty I never said it wasn't worth it, it just seems that all the other magazines that do this always give out the previous month. If it needs to be done to keep it alive then I am all for it since it's the best offroad magazine to date.
We chat at just about every event, just ask me next time to help out if you are serious.

Dude...someone had to pull your chain...
In any case, we do realize that distributing the mags before the subscribers get them is a glitch in the system we are trying to fix.

Hey there's no way DirtSports can be anywhere near as bad as Off-Road was a few years ago! No offense to the current staff, but it was embarrassing!
