Yes that is what it is. I guess that in a wreck with one that had them it bent and almost hit the kid in the head.

Yes, we will need the flush number plates and the new nets before Texas.

I guess I shouldn't of made and powder coated 6- sets...

If enough interest they may be available at KARTEK--Ready to zip tie on.

Probably no notch for sway bar and trimmed to below the lettering (top line extended to bottom)

the ones craig made are not legal nor are the victory ones we run. number plate cannot go higher then the down tube effective date is Texas.

Another mandate before texas is internal nets that go from the bottom of the A pillar to the back of the cage by the drivers head on both sides...think Polaris RZR OEM window net. I think its a stupid addendum that is going to cause more trouble then good. Anybody who has driven a RZR knows the nets suck and as soon as you start getting aggressive your elbows/arms get caught in them. Not only will this make more crap on the cars, it will make it harder to get the D-cells clipped in, harnesses checked, etc... If they would have mandated a decent seat like the mastercraft 1G with head support this wouldnt be needed.

We all saw the D-cells combined with a quality seat work on their own just ask Cenni.

PS...those ones you made craig would look cool with an aluminum back panel riveted on in a different color so you can see what the text says from the stands.

We make the flush mount style out of fiberglass in just about any color.

I would agree except when it is a safety issue. A PL ejected its fire extinguisher when it hit the wall under the flag stand on Sat. When the course worker retrieved it, I was looking at it with him. It was obviously attached with a flimsy plastic bracket. That should probably be a new rule for Dallas as well.

#1 What is the point in having it if it is going to fly out of the vehicle in a crash?
#2 I wouldn't want to be in the truck with the extinguisher flying around the cab during the crash.

Is it true that the number plate has to be white with black numbers or white with black numbers? I have read the rules and that is what I got from or did they change that also? Thanks

As far as I know that is not true.

Numbering NP01 – Number Plates – all competitors must run a 7”x10” number plate on each side. The number plate may be made of plastic and be either white with black numbers or black with white numbers. Numbers must be 7” tall and 1” wide. Number plates must be attached to the Trophy Kart frame by a minimum of two (2) metal fasteners (hose clamps and adel clamps over the tubing are acceptable)

This is what I got off the mmr web site so.... I guess it is hard to keep up with all the changes. Or people are just going to do things and try to get away with what they can.

unfortunatly most all the plastic number plates dont match up with the new ruleings either. they all stick above the chassis. we will see what happens.

We bought our plastic number plates from MMR at our first race (RaceTown 395) and they are Red with Black Numbers. Guess we'll buy a new set of white or black ones before Primm along with the nets.

How much are the cool flush mounted ones?

Can't believe that we have to run full length nets but can't put in a fuel cell. Seems backwards to me; I'd trade all the nets for a fuel cell any day.

The ones we make are $80 a pair.

But there is little safety issue with a thin plastic numberplate sticking slightly above the cage on one corner versus the cool looking aluminum fin sticking entirely above the cage. Just my opinion.

Kinda odd that mmr has a huge set of rules and every race we go to I see more and more rules get bent.
