Does anybody know if the tv ratings are out on the A.V. race? Also is pro-lite going to be the extra half hour on NBC?

The extra half hour will have more pit packages and more racing but no pro-lite stuff for this year. There is talk about pro-lites making NBC coverage next year.

I hate to be argumentative but I was at the drivers meeting in CV last friday and Bill Weber spent a little time at the podium. I distinctly remember him mentioning using the additional time for buggy coverage. I am not sure that I heard him mention PL but I think he did? This drew applause from the crowd.

its possible they changed things then...my info came from one of the NBC field producers at AV. I thought they were going to expand to buggies and pro-lites next year, but I could be wrong!

Now that I think about it a little more, I could have missed the key words "next year". Does anybody remember when the NBC camera crew showed up at the k rail? In some of my buggy shots I can see that the scissor lifts used by the camera crews are up but I'm not sure if that means anything.

I hope they do PL, P2 and P4. Next year with no "pro's" allowed to race the buggies it wont be as entertaining. Leave the buggies to Speed.

In the driver meeting at CV, Bill Weber talked again. The folks at NBC went to the Baja 100 party the night before and Bill was completely blown away and now understands why we love our sport so much.
His words were that NBC is stoked on the ratings, and the additional half hour would be used to cover other classes that they feel have the best racing action. Could be Pro-Lite, could be buggies, could be TK's or Rhinos?????
I would like to see Pro-Lite, but who knows????? All in all, they also just anounced a 2 year agreement with NBC for 90 minutes in 08 and 09, all 9 events!!!!!! All episodes will be 1 week delay, on Sundays around 2:00 EST.
Good job CORR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on Ross's site I saw Fig or Steve post that Pro-lite is going to be on NBC.
I belive they said this week, but after talking to my brother, he said the NBC lifts all went down and stayed down just before the pro-lite race this last week.

A press release went out last night on the NBC Prolite coverage:
More CORR coverage continues on NBC October 14th. For the first time NBC will extend CORR’s air time to 90 minutes. See the Pro 2 and Pro 4 Jason Baldwin Cup races, plus hosts Bill Weber and Wally Dallenbach will bring you the Pro Lite class in its debut on NBC. The action packed show will feature one of the wildest wrecks in CORR history and a highlighted version of the Saturday Pro Lite race. The action begins Sunday, 2:30 PM /ET.
