Right now i am in the middle of converting an old class1 raceco into a class 12. Since we got the car i have managed to remove 430 lbs while making it 12 car legal. Now the problem lies in the rear suspension where 90% of the weight was removed. As the car sits it has one 3.0 internal bypass shock per corner, in the rear it has 16 in stroke at a 1.4 M.R with 19 inches of wheel travle. The currnet springs are 13inX350 on top of 23inX400. Now this has a spring rate of 186.67 lb/in with about 2 inches of droop at ride hight. We tested the car and there is not enough weight to compress the springs. i was wondering what would be a better choice to start off with?? 250/350 = 145.83 lb/in or 275/350 = 154.00 lb/in or 275/300= 143.48 lb/in

Another question is as far as spring rates go, should i aim for the right ride hight and then test the car and mess with valving?? or is valving too closely associated with spring rate?? to work with one and not the other?
