I just bought a pair of bypasses to replace my reservoirs on my 98 Grand cherokee it has 6" lift "STRAIGHT AXLE" and am wondering if i would be better to use both reservoirs and bypasses or just bypasses Also I am going to take it in and have some shock towers/cage put in upfront to allow me to run these or this shock.

What should I set the shock to be at relaxed?

how much of the shaft to be allowed to travel up?
how much of the shaft to be allowed to travel down?

5 inches up and 5 inches down?

how do I know what a good medium is?

Shocks are 2X27" dual bypass piggy backed 2.0 10" and fox bypasses and 2X27" 2.0 fox reservoirs....

Most common approach is to make the suspension and shocks bottom out at the same time.

Or give the shock 1/2-1" of rod exposure with the suspension bottomed.
