I was wondering if anyone has any photos of the old team honda 650s that had a clear tube on the oil line on the frame to check the oil on the go instead of pulling out the dipsick
Thanks

Have you guys ever put one of these kits on an XR400.
The reason I ask is the XR400 Frame is Steel instead of Cast Alum. I am wondering if there is the 400 frame is thick enough to tap.
Thanks

The team honda ones were on custom built frames from japan and the fittings were welded into the frame. you can buy that one where you drill and tap your frame but they leak oil

Try Baja Designs, ask for Tex. He's done it on race bikes also.

ive never had one leak oil and ive sold a lot of them. Welding a fitting to the frame is no different then tapping the frame since there is enough meat to get full depth on the pipe fitting.

I was going to say a tapered fitting like that shouldn't leak, especially with no real pressure on it.
