I recieved this from the Sheriffs dept today:
On Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at approximately 4:55 pm, Hesperia deputies responded to a call of a hit and run involving a juvenile riding an off-road vehicle in the roadway, in the area of Mesquite Trails Elementary School. Investigation revealed that a white Chevy Silverado with extended cab and yellow plates, struck the juvenile dragging him approximately one block. The vehicle then left the scene.
The juvenile was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he has undergone surgery. The juvenile sustained multiple broken bones and other severe injuries. His exact condition is not known at this time.
The suspect is still out standing. He is reported to be a Hispanic male, with dark hair and a thin build. Anyone with information in this incident is asked to contact the Hesperia Police Department at 760-947-1549 or call We-Tip at 1-800-78CRIME (1-800-782-7463) or by leaving information on the We-Tip Web Site at www.wetip.com.
