i have a 2003 chevy silverado 4x4 5.3 and i use ti alot in the dunes, desert, and 4x4 off road.. so im throwing a 6.5 full throttle lift kit on it ( unless you guys know of anything better ) and for the suspension i was goin to throw a dual fox shock hit on the front of it but i been looking around and saw these coil overs systems.. now im wonder which ones would be better more reliable smoothest, all around better shock?

and also which company would be the best to go threw? i currently go threw fox..

THANK YOU!!!

stay away from full throttle unless you dont mind changing idler and pittman arms reg. got with either cst or cognito the both have the best steering setups for 4x4 chevys cognito sells a pittman idler arm support kit seperately also. I ahvent seen any good coilover 4x4 front kits yet

My buddy has one, it drives like sh**. These kits you are mentioning are "lift kits" they are not "long travel" kits. No matter how many shocks you bolt on your not going to improve the capabilities of the truck. In fact, I'd bet a stock truck would ride and handle much better than a lifted truck off road and on road. Do a search on this site for long travel kits for your application and you should come up with some good options. Be aware, however, that perfofmance costs and the long travel kits are tipically more expencive than the bling, hack, clears 40" tires mounted to 20" wheels with chrome fake beadlocks, lift kit.

ya fursure long travel kits are top dog, but honestly if i was building a prerunner or long travel truck i would buy a 2 wheel drive, so for the sake of my 4x4 truck CST and Cognito are 2 of the best lift kit systems out right now or what?

I'd leave the suspension front stock and add good shocks. Possiblty add some bumps to contact the lower arms. A set of Deavers, Alcans or Nationals on the rear.

If you need bigger tires add some glass fenders and flare the bedsides.

We install alot of cst kits and they are super nice. I have a 9in on the wifes duramax and it rides great. It is just a lift not long travel but cst aslo makes some long travel kits that are nice and they are affordable.

ya well the only promblem im having choosing cst over cognito is the price..

CST - almost 3000
Cognito - around 1800
