Anyone Knw How To Take Off The Steering From A 02 Silverado.. The Part Where The Tie Rods Meet The Rack? Its Like A Ball Joint With A Sleeve Over It... Any Help Would Be Apreciated... Thanks :d

The ball joint body is machined for a wrench. It is threaded in and will spin off. (regular thread)

the ball joint part itself spins freely... i friend who owns a shop gave me some special wrench thing but i dnt see any slots on the back of the sleeve for it..... am i just blind

There should be a slot cut in the knuckle, if not get yourself some big chanelocks and go to town. (asuming you are going to replace the part). If it is really stuborn apply a little heat to the area to loosin things up a bit.

haha... i got it guys. i couldnt see the slot because the sleeve was still on it. i didnt knw the sleeve just came off, it looked like it was pressed on... but yea, THANKS:cool:
