Anyone have any experience swapping out a 2V 5.4L Ford V8 for a newer 3V engine. The 3V engine has more potential for performance then the 2V does. I am looking for information about wiring and what not, I am sure the engine won't just drop in but would it be as simple as swapping engines and some wiring or?

Thanks for any help,
Alex

What about a navigator engine... All aluminum, more power and 4v heads.

eplanajr: you missed the point of his question.

Alex: please post up if you find anything because my dad's expedition is up in miles and could use a refresher. I had assumed that a matching computer would be required but that is pretty baseless.
good luck man

Look For Something Else, 3v Motor Is Pretty Weak. Variable Valve Timing Hub Has Been Known To Come Apart, plus It Is A Drive By Wire System. Engine Doesnt Make All That Much Power, Older Nav. 4v Engine Would Be A Better Bet.
