hi, sorry for the lame question.... i know that on newer rangers they run a larger diameter rim. my question, is there any reason that a 16" rim could not be put on a '99 ranger. the reason im asking is that im about to get the 5.5 kit from camburg for my girls truck. and it says that the largest tire/rim combo you could go with was a 33/12.50/15 with an 8" rim, with glass. i already bought glass for the front. but for now i have some 265/75/16s left over from my truck and was looking to save money on buying tires, and just buy some rims. i tried doing a search but im not very good at the computer thing yet. i hope i explained the question well enough, so thanks for any help

did they tell you a wheel offset? or just say 8in rim? most 16in rims not only are they rediculously expensive compaired to 15s they also have less offset, they dont stick out as far so there would be a possiblily of rubbing on shocks and stuff. And i think it would be cheeper in the long run to get the 15in rim because of the cost difference of the tires and wheels fore next time you replace them

thanks for the reply. ya i cant seem to find an offset for the rims i was looking at. it says that they have a 4 1/2 backspacing but no offset specs. i know on my truck i have a zero offset and i run 35's with no prob. thats the other thing as well. i have another 2 sets of 35's. that require a 16" rim. i dont think we will ever go that big on her truck. but you never know. as for the price ive got a local guy here that can get them for 100 bucks a piece. they are outlaw 2's. product code AR626865. if anyone knows more about these particular rims. ive got outlaw 2's on my truck and my car and cant bust em. thanks again

Call Camburg and ask them about the back spacing. Because the offset messurment is the backspacing of the wheel. Most kits seem to need a 4.50 backspacing. I bet a 16 inch wheel would clear easier then a 15. I know for my Chevy truck I the got CST 4 inch spindles and the 17 inch wheels will clear easier then the 16's would. Best bet would be to call Camburg and aske them, but I am 99% sure that Outlaw wheel would be just fine.

I agree with what Simon Says. From my experience 16" rims were such a PITA to get, it really puts me in a sour mode whenever the subject comes up. + the cost difference from 15" rims is ridiculous.

Im running 16X8 KMC Enduro StreetLocks with TOYO Open Country M/T 33x10.50s

They work perfectly with no rubbing.

I hate 16" because the tire prices. Look at 15" and 17" tire prices, metric(16) and standard(15 and 17).

thanks guys for the input. i will look into maybe just getting 15" tires and just running them on the stock rims. until i can find some 15" rims i like
