Not a Bronco, but on my 2002 Tundra with AEM filter, Downey ceramic coated headers and bigger piping w/Magnaflow straight through muffler everyone say's that my truck sounds like a Protruck at full song. Go to here http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=1438

I am pretty happy with my jbas 2.5 dual exhaust turned down just after the rear axle. Not a big problem with the rear window sucking in exhaust either, dont remeber which mufflers i am running I think magna flows. Not obnoxious but pleasant in the sound dept. oh yeah this is on my 95FSB and a 351. I know alot of folks like to run a single 3 inch exhaust and like the sound.

Shorty headers, stock cats, 2.5" flowmaster with one in and two out, dumped before the axle... The whole bronco is dynomatted and it's still too loud to be able to hear a soft-talker on the cell phone at 60+ mph. Sounds good though.

I have a single 2.5" Magna flow and full tailpipe on mine and I'm happy with the way it sounds. It's certainly louder than the OE muffler it replaced, but no where near overbearing at any speed. Keep in mind my Bronco is equipped with a C-6, so on the freeway it's wound up higher than your overdrive truck is.
If I was going strictly for sound though, my choice would be Spintech. A friend of mine has a Mustang (5.0L/302) with long-tube headers, dual 3" pipes and 2 3" Spintech mufflers. It is hands down the best sounding streetable small block I've ever heard.
