so i've been looking into the total chaos kit quite a bit, and also the JD fab kits. however, i'm not completely sold on either of the two and i'm wondering what other companies are making.

i'm looking to retain 4wd and i'm not worried about the price.

oh no doubt. i guess i shouldn't say that i'm not "sold" on it, i'm just looking to see what else is out there. know of anything else??


btw travis, your truck is what inspired me to go longtravel. i first saw it a while back on YT.

JD is an accomplished fab shop. I'm sure their kit will perform great. If you are loking for a one stop shop for custom fab work...for more xetreme off-roading/racing, JD is probably a good choice. Might want to check the lead-time for the LT system.

However,

TC has dedicated themselves to the "bolt-on" systems for trucks like yours. They are the standard for bolt-on long travel for Toyotas. You will always be able ot get spares, and someone always answers the phone. You can buy spares from many distributors. Many of the kits are far from cutting edge, but that is not a bad thing. They just work. If you just want a bolt-on system for moderate off-roading, chasing, with great support, parts in stock, go TC.

And they are race proven as well!

hey thanks for the knowledge and input....those are the two kits that i've been looking at.

are there really no other "purchaseable" kits? i'd much rather waste my own time making one than paying someone else to make a custom one...
