XC-W is going to have the wide ratio tranny for it. Why only a 450? You doing class 21?

Go to Threat Racing and look at the new Beta dirt bikes. They use KTM motors and come in 400, 450 and 525. They are really nice! I just rode one and was very impressed!

those Beta bikes do look pretty nice, they havent been doing to good in the enduros though. I rode the whole KTM line up at a demo and I was very impressed with the xcw, very forgiving bike but not under powered.

Your right, Aaron got 1st on the 525 & Cameron got 2nd on the 450, 40 seconds between the 2 riders after 92 miles, pretty impressive for stock bikes with hardly any race prep. From the crate to the podium.
I also bought one, the RS model 450, street legal, only difference is wire loom, blinkers, back sprocket & tires. Can't get over riding a race bike down to the corner store and not having to worry about a ticket. Just love that E button too!

This thread has been hijacked. I am in the market for a new bike and funny to see so many friends riding these Betas. Are you worried about parts availability? How is the price compared to a Honda or KTM? It is really tough to find any information except that I think these are from a trials bike manufacturer with a KTM motor. I worry about buying a brand new bike and what about resale? Any thoughts?

Well Jason i know when i was waiting for mine they had sent Chip enough parts he told me he could build me a bike .The motor is ktm all the way so you know you can get the parts @ any KTM dealer. All the other questions you should call Chip @ Threat 760-336-2362..You can take mine for a spin next race if you wish.As far as price i Know it's cheaper than building another Quad .LOL

Are these bikes direct from Beta with the KTM motor or is this something custom threat racing is doing?
I just saw pics of a aluminum framed YZ125 with a KTM 200 motor in it. Pretty clean conversion and initial impression from the owner was badass. Not really relevant to this conversation but cool none the less!!! LOL

I ride an '06 450exc. as of now I plan to ride it in B1K. It has awesome top speed and handles well. It is stock now but will cam and pipe it so it will run better at high speeds. needs stator rewound for the baja lights. Will also be doing suspension work (mainly springs) also.
