I'm thinking of putting a 4.0 in my Ranger pre-runner. Will a 4.0 bolt up to a T-5?

No but there's a shop in San Luis Obispo that makes custom bellhousings for the conversion.

Is it possible to get a name and phone number for that shop. I was thinking about doing something similar.

FYI: I think you're better off with a beefed up Ranger 5 speed.

Dont waste your time with a 4.0 OHV Pushrod motor.
If you do go the 4.0 Litre route, use a 4.0 SOHC motor. Around the same cost to drop in, requires all the same mods as a OHV but the SOHC is a much more powerful, efficient and reliable motor package with plenty of room to farm more HPs when desired.
If you have any questions or concerns call my man JuanCO at FiberwerX.

JuanCo has already taken care of me with a harness and ecm. I was the angry looking disgruntled customer from north county. Maybe. Thanks for the info on the shop. Just waiting to see how long the stock 5 speed will last and what my options are after that.

if your going to the trouble of putting in a new trans you probably want to go with the tremec instead of the t-5 its way stronger!
