IS RICK ELLISON REALLY SIGNED UP TO COMPETE IN THE 400? OR IS IT A JOKE?

does anyone know at what point Score decided to Split the 10 class to Score light for Beam Cars? I wonder what the ratio of Beam cars to A-Arm cars is in this race?

they split the two classes about two years ago. only because a couple of guys srarted to complain. a really good beam car can compete pretty fairly.if you have a good fast 1835 volkswagon.

Rick Ellison will be there, fresh off a car wash prep job! This board is amazing, you all found out he was racing before most of his crew did. He just had the rear suspension re-worked and wants to see how she runs while she's still dirty from the 500.

It'll be great to see Rick out there giving some competition for the win. Maybe even overall win. I just want to warn him about the "WALL". With the new rear suspension and all, he just might have too much kick. I would hate to see that car go end-over-end into a crowd at the wall.

Eric

I have heard about this 'WALL' on several occasions now, does anyone have a picture or at least a description of this thing?

Thanks.

John,
You did indeed hear wrong. They are jumping the WALL as usual. See you out there.

98 entries as of 6-14-01 at 11:44 pm.
9 - class 1
18 - class 10
13 - class 1600
14 - class 1450
Also looks like George Seely is bringing his new look "ARC" bodied class 5. Any opinions on the new body style?

blazersracing
June 15th, 2001, 12:32
Mike, I just checked the MDR starting line-up and Seeley wasnt on it. I was wishing that it wasnt true, but it looks to me like his entry is just a roll-over entry from a previous race. Maybe he will show up though. I cant wait till the drop of the green flag. ITs going to be on hellofa race..... And anyone going to Tonopah, well I just hope that you arent dissapointed....

Clifford

Seeley is entered in next weekends Kartek 400 but it wouldn't be a rollover from a previous race. He entered and placed 1st in class at Ridgecrest. It's possible that he may need further testing of his new beetle body that debuted in Baja. Are there any Seeley team members able to confirm this speculation?

I think thats a body style that has to grow on you.

kurt
June 16th, 2001, 01:05
Seeleys entered but MDR has his name in the wrong class - he's shown as being in class 550 (5-1600) in car #534. At least I hope it's a typo by MDR seeing as I'm in a 5-1600!!!

Clifford
June 16th, 2001, 14:45
On the starting line order it lists Seeley entered in Class 500. It may be a typo if it shows he's in 5/1600 on the entry list. When we stage the vehicles Kurt, I'll make sure that this confusion is corrected.

Which pit besides main is going to have the best action?

My pit Mike, Because I will be in it. :-)

Mike_McCluskey
June 19th, 2001, 11:28
I don't think we really need to see that!!! In the pits of all places. I'm bringing my kid, how am supposed to explain that to him?!?!?!?
Just so everybody has fair warning, what pit will you be in?

John_Bitting
June 19th, 2001, 11:35
Cant announce where I will be. By Action I meant partying/pitting people having a good time. You know how us RDC folk do it... Mike I know that is your way of asking where we will be so you can show up for a free beer.. Admit it.... You feel guilty for not making the bbq last weekend and want to hang with the crew.... Honestly I have no clue where I will be. :-)

Mike_McCluskey
June 19th, 2001, 12:01
Actually I was attending a happening b-day party for some 5 year olds! I wasn't able to escape for the RDC bbq.
I will out at pit B.

John_Bitting
June 19th, 2001, 12:05
I've heard those 5 year olds are real wild. It was probably a crazier party where you were at. :-) I will see you out there...

Mike_McCluskey
June 19th, 2001, 23:39
Boy you know it! 5 year olds rock!! Simon sez, treasure hunt, and spiked Capri Sun drinks. Oh well their only 5 once.
Correction from my last post. I'll be at pit A. Just look for the brown turd Z-71 next to a white EZ-Up. Any racers that feel the need to break near pit A I'll have tools, jack, and plenty of cold water! Looking forward to a really good race.
See you Friday!

June 20th, 2001, 08:51
Since I am going out to spectate, I will come by pit A and say hi them.. Where is everyone else going to be at??

The Baja Shop will be at the main pit from Thursday night on . You can stop by John , so long as you're not going to be stingy with that blender ! Good luck with the motor Frank .
