Has anyone talked with Ronn Bailey?

I am Ronn's original race instructor, back when he was "One Race Ronn", and I was curious if anyone talked with him before he left overseas. I was also curious as to his demeanor, injury (tongue thing?), and preparation. Any info would be great. Go Team Dakar USA!!!

Saw him before Christmas. He didn't talk with any impediments, or even favor his tongue at all when speaking so I have to imagine he is just fine and ready to go.
