FYI This was posted over on the Desert Racing board and I thought I would post it here also.

TOTALLY OFF ROAD RADIOs Dakar Special goes on with it's special guests!

We at TORR planned this special Dakar show to explain to everyone what the Dakar Rally is all about and bring to you special updates and reports directly from the race.

Obviously that won't happen due to the unfortunate cancelling of the 2008 Dakar race.

However,Our show will go on! With the cancellation of the race brings alot of unanswered questions as to what happened,Why it was cancelled and what the future holds for Dakar and what other ramifications this will have in worldwide motorsports.

Well,If anyone can shed some light on this situation,
Our special guests on this show can.

Will Higman,A Dakar Finisher from last year, and Ryan Arciero of Arciero/Miller Motorsports will not only be our our first two guests,But they will also be Co Hosting the entire show.

Also guests on the show will be Team VW driver Mark Miller and
Darren Skilton who is our U.S. representative to the ASO
"Amaury Sports Organization" The orginization who puts on the race.

Plus a possible surprise call in from? You'll have to see for yourself!

These guests will be bringing you a ton of info and answering alot of questions that you and we both have.

Plus, "Breaking News" with Shaun Ocshner

You definately won't want to miss this one!

As always, We want to hear from all of you with whatever questions and comments you have too!

There are 2 ways to do this.

1) You can call in. The station call in number is 760-720-5236

2) You can text us questions on our forum section at www.totallyoffroadradio.com
where you also find our Bonus Track Interviews and much,Much More!

You can listen to the show live Wednesday 6-8pm on AM 1000 in San Diego or
go to our website www.totallyoffroadradio.com and Click on LISTEN LIVE!

We truly appreciate all the support and Can't wait to find out more!

It should be a great show!

We have Mark calling in from Arizona and we are going to be waking up Darren at his apartment in Paris.

Also I talked to mystery guest ? yesterday from his testing session at Daytona Beach… He sounded in really good spirits on the phone when he told me that he would do a call in for us. The hitch is he is traveling back home to Charlotte this evening and may not be able to be in the right place at the right time?

Stay tuned it’s a great line up…

For all those it didn't get an opportunity to listen to the TORR Dakar Special live I thought I would let you know that the reply is now available on the TORR website. Here is the direct link to the MP3 file. Dakar Special MP3 ( http://www.totallyoffroadradio.com/TORR010908.mp3)

If the MP3 file doesn't work for you can go straight to the TORR website and listen to it from there. Totally Off Road Radio (http://www.totallyoffroadradio.com)

The show went really well thanks to Jim, Ryan, Darren, Robby and Mark. What else can you say about that line up but thank you ALL for the effort!

On a personal level I thought doing the show would help me bring closure to my 2007 Dakar experience but for some reason the squirrel cages in my head are still turning...

Thanks for listening!
