I was wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of the rev limiter on a 91 ranger w/ 3.0 v6?

My guess is that you would have to take it to somebody that can interface with the ECU and modify the settings.
The other option would be to change the ignition to an MSD that has a rev limiter plug. You can change the plugs to set the rev limit to what you need.

First of all why? Unless you really really know what you are doing I wouldn't want to rev my 17 hear old 3.0 any higher than factory. Secondly I didn't think there was a 3.0 back then, the V6 was a 2.9. Thrid, I doubt it is the ECU on that old of a motor, but don't quote me on that. I know 96 and up it is computer controlled.
