I have been looking everywhere in San Diego, ORW, Race Ready, Buggy Works, Fiber Tech, Johnsons and Bill (???) and cannot for the life of me find a kit for a Zenith 32NDIX
Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find one here in San Diego or Imperial Valley/Mexicali possibly today?
Also, been looking into converting the buggy from a dual carb to a single carb, it's a 2180cc motor. What kind of intake manifold should I use and do I need to get rid of those carburetors and go with a different or bigger one?
thanks in advance

Try San Diego Carburetor? Honestly I dont even know what it is your looking for(a rebuild kit for a zenith carb?), but I just dealt with these guys and they were very helpful, and seemed to have ALOT of carb stuff in stock. They are on university ave on the la mesa side.

Tom Coy @ Speed Unlimited in Glendale, CA (213) 841-0502 is your man. Tom was the sole importer of the zenith in to the USA way back in the day. They should still have a complete inventory of any spare parts you may need including rebuild kits and jets. They also used to make a trick small plenum manifold that produced a ton of bottom and mid range torque - the zenith is not a top end carburetor. If the compression ratio on that 2180 is set to run on pump gas the zenith is perfect.
If you need jetting help let me know and I'll dig out some of my set up sheets from the 80's

Thanks for the updates guys. I'm going home to my parents this weekend and talk it over with my dad about what we're gonna do with it. I'm pretty sure we're still planning to get rid of the Zenith dual carb set up and go to one Webber 44. Saw an ad in the classifieds for 2 Webber 44s for $500 but unfortunately we only need one (I think)
We're planning to convert the car to a CODE safari class (at least I am) and chances are we might change it to a 1776 and get rid of the 2180
1wayne, I'll send you a PM, might have to pick one up before I head down to Calexico this weekend
