Over past couple of years I haven't been frequenting the boards as often as I once use to. As of late I've made it a point to attempt to keep up to date with what's going on in the desert racing world. Since I've checked back in, I've noticed that some of the "veteran (original) members" have not posted in quite a while. I wanted to start a thread to see where they went or what they've been up to. One that comes to mind is "Martininsocal"- Martin Gill Anyone with news on the whereabouts of Martin? I hope all is well with him and his family.

Do any other names come to mind?

They probably got tired of the recent rash of political conspiracy/thrashing threads and videos! :)

Nice to see you posting here again. I think Martininsocal was banned from the forum long ago If I recall correctly...

Did you ever get that Ranger finished or has "real" work hampered that project? ;)

I communicate with Martin a few times a week. He is doing well

Nice to talk to you Dave, I hope things are going well.

My truck is collecting rust along with all of my other projects. "Real" work definitely puts a damper on things!

Great thread!!! I was banned 4 years ago, but regained my posting privileges thanks to Victor! I used to read alot of useful info from 'fabricator', what happened to him? I also used to see a handful of posts from Scott Steinberger and Alan Pflueger.

I find this 'getting banned' thing interesting. You're the second one who mentioned it. What does somebody have to do to get banned from RDC? Maybe that should be a separate thread. It'd make for some good stories I bet ...

Oh, it's not hard to do....... If you don't get banned once in a while your not doing something right....

I can't go into detail or else I will be permanently banned, but lets just say I used to write articles for another desert racing website, and one of the previous admins on that site had an issue with some admins on RDC and DR. Needless to say I was the fall guy for the site and took the brunt of the heat, while the real person in question is now sitting pretty...

Heh, I got your explanation loud and clear. I recall a similar situation where said person caused another party to take his fall on several occasions.

You met my sister in law and brother in law a couple years ago. I think it might have been Terribles Town in 2005?

seanwrx or whatever name he went by came and went a couple of times. I even bought a bronco off him at one point. He was a cool guy. I think he just left the scene and the boards. Have not heard from him in probably 5 years. There have been a ton of people since 99 that have come and gone, some contributed a ton and are missed. We need to do a where are they now. I still run into a ton of people at the races that used to post on a daily basis, some dont like the drama, some dont like the fact its so huge its no longer a small close community.
