I am looking at going to coil overs on my ranger and I as far as I know the air box on a 1994 or before has to relocate. I have looked into a cold air intake to eliminate it but it appears that no one makes it. Any suggestons?????
Thanx

just buy a k and n cone filter (or whatever brand you like), get some exhaust tubing or stainless and make your own. On my 2.5l ranger I just cut out a flange to adapt the cone filter to the MAF sensor, cut a bit of the factory air duct out to shorten it upm made a new mount for the whole unit, and done.

I was thinking about something like that. Does it fly for smog visual inspection?

You could prove that you lowered your emissions by 50% with a modification and they would still fail you on the visual in CA. Been there, done that. They tried calling me out last year because I added a vacuum guage. I won that time.

Anybody got pics of a 95 ranger engine compartment and/or know the difference between a 94 and 95 intake? I was looking around and k and n makes a intake for a 95 and by looking at the install instructions there appears to be little differernce

You need to order a 2000 Ford Ranger Intake from K&N they sit up in the passanger corner behind the head light! I did the same thing on my 1994.
