I am so over nascrap. If RG does not get the fine removed all together, he is in some deep crap after that finish yesterday. I think it is time to do some IRL racing while he still can. Him and PT on the same team, flipping off MA each time they drive by him on pit row........Priceless

i think robby can live up back to his indy car days.
maybe he will get someone in his sprint cup series ride. Scott speed would be his best replacment, but he is owned by red bull.

Yeah, the Scott Speed thing would never happen , he has a better chance of getting Tony Stewart. RG has stated he does not want to go back to the IRL, other then try for Indy again, for safety reasons. Besides for that, he is pushing 40, he only has a couple of competetive years left running Indy cars. It is not a desire thing. Unfortunately, the body physiologically, mentally starts slowing down.....Not alot, just enough, that is why they call it losing their edge.....Just enough to take you from being competetive to being an also ran. But everybody is different.....Some guys lose the edge at 38, some at 48, some at 52.

Back on topic, I wonder why PT is not running a prototype in the ALMS.....Isn't that where Indy Drivers go to die? :D I read somewhere he may be running some truck races that are coming up

TRUCKS: Paul Tracy To Test at ChicagolandWritten by: SPEED Staff

Las Vegas, Nevada Dario Franchitti (L), driver of the #40 Target/Polariod Dodge, Talks with Champ Car driver Paul Tracy in the garage during practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series UAW-Dodge 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on February 29, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. ( » More Photos
While Indianapolis 500 activities were abuzz over Memorial Day weekend, one would assume that open-wheel champion Paul Tracy would be missing the atmosphere that saw him walk away with a 2nd place finish in 2002. On the contrary, Tracy was busy booking flights and preparing to depart for Chicago, Illinois, where he will be participating in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series test for Germain Racing on Wednesday, May 28th.
Tracy, who made his NASCAR debut in NASCAR's #2 series in 2006, will return to the oval-track for a one-day test at Chicagoland Speedway. While this will be Tracy's first experience in a truck, he is known as one of the most cerebral wheelmen in the business and he will adapt quickly. Versatility is a trademark of the 2003 Champ Car World Series Champion, as Tracy has raced open-wheel cars, Grand-Am cars, NASCAR, and off-road trucks, all in the last two years.
One would ponder Tracy's plans for the future after his awkward departure from Forsythe Racing left the race world scratching their heads. While it would be easy for the seasoned veteran to retire and live off the earnings that he has generated through his Champ Car World Series leading 31 wins, Tracy has instead spent his newfound spare time executing a rigorous training program that has kept his body in top physical condition.
Tracy's skill and talent is coupled with the passion and enthusiasm that has made him theThrill from West Hill and turned him into one of the most colorful, recognized racers in the world.
“I'm still young and I have a great passion for the sport of racing, and I plan to be a part of it for many years to come,” Tracy said from his home in Las Vegas. “This is something that I've committed my entire life to and it has been fun to participate in the many different disciplines of the sport. My situation with Forsythe was unfortunate, but it has opened up so many other opportunities for me and I'm really enjoying my life right now.”
Tracy continued, “The Germain Racing team is a championship team that is committed to winning, so it humbles me to be able to take part in a test and share a Toyota Tundra with Todd Bodine. He is one of the best in the business and I'm looking forward to getting to Chicago on Wednesday and doing whatever I can to learn from him so that I can experience my own success should I go that direction. I'm thankful that Bob Germain is giving me this opportunity. He is a class act and I'm happy to be a part of what he is doing in NASCAR.”
As Germain Racing currently heads up the points chase in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Tracy looks forward to gaining experience with a team that has done so much in NASCAR and has achieved considerable success with Toyota in the series

If Monster was ever to get into Cup, Trucks would be a good fit IMO. RG could start a truck team with PT and run Monster that way. GROW RGM, have a friend and talented driver in one of his cars......Bring him up for the road course races....And much more affordable for Monster as well.
(Yeah, I know, in my dreams)

UPDATED News on PT
A few weeks ago, Paul Tracy tested Todd Bodine's truck at Chicagoland Speedway and impressed Bob Germain enough to get a one-off deal. Tracy will drive the Germain Racing Toyota on September 20 at Las Vegas. "Paul did a nice job so we got a little bit of support and decided it would be fun to run him in his hometown," said Germain, who along with his two brothers owns 19 car dealerships in Ohio and Florida. "We're going to run Chrissie full-time in the trucks next year and we've got another year for sure with Mike (sponsored by Geico)," said Germain. "I know Todd would like to run the Nationwide series and we've got about a dozen different possibilities we'll be looking at. "And running Paul full-time in the trucks is one of those."(Robin Miller- SPEED/TV)(6-19-2008)

I believe that was only for Indy races and I think they came to an agreement/settlement on that (PT and Forsythe)

Have he and "Flash" really pisssed that many people off to where they can only run in their own cars any more (lol). I am telling yah, RG needs to start a prototype team and unite with TRG Motorsports and Gilligan. Have two cars in Nascrap, run PT full time in ALMS and RG can join him on off weekends. Bring in Monster to sponsor the Prototype, since they will not step up to Cup full time. Hell, while we are at it, let PT run the 5th H3 for the rally....And then have them both beat all of the rednecks arses on the dirt in TS's charity race!!!...... Yeah, I know, I make it sound like it is so easy and possible to do...........Ah, the convenience of arm chair quarterbacking........Atleast I admit it (lol)

I think Paul Tracy and RG would beat the crap out of each other after the first two weeks. They are both aggressive hot heads. As far as monster, I think they are going to stick with G.O.A.T. and see if he can make it to cup!

RG and PT have been very good friends for a long long time........Those two were the ones who ridiculed Michael Andretti back in the mid 90's in CART wearing the "I HATE Michael" shirts.......PT has a place in Parker, right up the road from RG.....BOth are also supported by Monster as well.........Referring to my comments though, most of it was pure B.S..........Most of it. The little bit remaining was a legit wish (lol)

Think Paul's been looking for a Nascar related ride. I recall that Jimmy Vasser has been working hard trying to put a program together for him. Jimmy said on a radio show that he hopes to have a 2nd car on his team by Indy, perhaps with Paul???? dunno.

RG run an ALMS team?
That would be nice. I was a little disappointed to see only three P2's at Sebring, and the Audi's are gone ofter last weekend in P1.
I know for a fact that the Dyson's spent many long hours getting their new Mazda/Lola's tested and "ready".... unfortunately they were both bit early on.
Mazda is 100% behind their effort and we should see some great results this year.
The economy has REALLY hit this series. The ALMS is allot like SCORE....very few if any profit from racing in it. It is a very rich mans sport, so when they extra $$$ is not there to spend...the cars get parked.
