i just bought an old truck with a toyota 22r motor in it and the top speed isnt to bad its the pick up its kinda slugish i was wondering if anybody knows any good upgrades for the motor to help with the bottom end.

start with a general tune up. fuel filter, plugs, cap/rotor.......best bang for the buck is carb, cam, header! and replace the timing chain/guides if they are worn/broken....making noise and so on....acurate timing helps pep up the motors.
