I currently have a porsche 2.7 6cyl sitting in the shop, and thinking about making a light single seat 1 car with that motor it should move pretty well, even better if you can get the 3.2. Just look at the Hardesty 1 car its small light and with a v6 it moves relly good. The fact that they are air cooled makes things even more simpler. But the nown side is that parts tend to be more expensive and harder to find than those for an ls engine. But the cool factor is double the ls engines.

All the high dollar teams that ran Porsche in the past, left them for a reason - and look what they are running now - LSx.

Like Ramsey said. The Porsche was the engine to have up till the mid 90s. Most ran twin plug 3.2 or 3.5 engines. The crank is $4000 alone, $32000 for the whole motor. What is that like 3 1/2 LS-1s? Plus the new crate engines are fuel injected and run on cheap gas.The Northstar is a little cheaper, lighter and less HP but a good play/mild race choice. Go with the new technology.
