Well gang (Robby fans), looks like we have a week off. What a beginning to the season. We saw a manufacturer change, a team alignment, Nascar actually giving Robby a break, and some decent finishes. At least the performances have been back up to the level they were in 2006, which I still think was RGMs best effort.

I went over to Robot Uprising (Robbys Uprising) just to see what was new, and I had to laugh about this post:

What are these bandwagon fans expecting? Robby will never compete for wins every week, its just not possible, no matter the support from GEM. I personally am very pleased with how things sit right now, does anyone remember the first few COT races last year?

Im cautiously optomistic about this season, and think Robby can turn a few heads. I still say his only real shots at winning are at the road courses, but we shall see. Just glad this forum is an area to discuss RGM logically, and not complain because a 24th place finish isnt good enough...

I am very happy with where he stands...23rd may not be knocking at the door of making the Chase but I would be VERY pleased if RG made the top 20 by the end of the year...taking the Japanese principal of "Kaizen" or "constant improvement" it would just represent another step forward for his organization...going from outside the top 35, to just inside, to inside the top 30, to inside the top 20 all (or almost all) on his own shows the great intestinal fortitude that we admire him for...

Very well said.......I think you can add the restrictor plate races to the road courses as far as potential wins. He might turn some heads at Richmond as well.

According to Dave Carilaviliolisio aka Opie the ratings for the passed few NASCAR races have gone up from last year

Any chance this has to do with having new faces in Victory Lane?
