Last year the course was 8 laps around a 10 mile loop, with different classes racing throughout the day. (So it is not one big race with all entries on the course at one time.) Our race started at 4:30 in the afternoon and the high was 102, so be prepared for hot weather.

Course was beat up at the end of the day, basically 10 miles of whoops. A water crossing, a few man made mudholes, washes, pavement sections, etc. Not sure if the T.L.'s will be on the exact same course, as some areas I do not know if they will fit.

Yep, average temp for middle of May is mid 90's. It was above average last year. It is nice having the river right there, just jump in after the race.

Once we get everything determined, I'll put out a letter with all info (schedule of events, fees, safety requirements, our tech inspection pre and post race, etc) and get it out for everyone :D

well, i have no idea about the course, but i think it would be fun as a driver (then as a spectator) to have the race run throguh the "Guantlet & Python"

but the only thing is that it is very tight in spots and is like 5-6 miles long!!! so we would only have like 5-6 miles out in the real desert to do some real racin.

Last year we did 8 laps with a gran prix finish. (So when the leader finishes, you finish whatever lap you are on.) I have not seen the schedule released yet, probably will not be out for another week. BITD did not release a course map last year, so I would think there will not be one this year either. Last year had six races all together. Open bike race, open quad race, pro and some expert bikes, pro quads and UTV's, rest of the expert and amatuer bikes, then the rest of the quads. Open races were 6 laps each, while all others were 8 laps. We were in the last race, and it was about dark when we finished, so I do not see time for another race, my guess is same number of races, just combine classes a little different, but who knows?

Course ran east along highway 95 away from the Blue Water resort, went under the big bridge to the south side of the freeway, south to the gravel pit, back north under the bridge again and back to the Blue Water. (Few twists and turns here and there, but that is pretty much it.) Not sure if you guys will be on the exact same course as us, plenty of room for us quads, but may be a little narrow for a T.L.

I got of the phone with Casey this morning and I feel that this is going to be a great race. There will be no prerunning for this event but there will be an open UTV/TL warm up race in the morning. The warm up race will be 3 laps and somewhere around $50 to enter.

I preran the race course in during the Parker 425 weekend, this course is going to be amazing and like nothing else ever ran in a 4 wheel vehicle off road race. It is going to be tight and very tough. The landrush start is going to make things very interesting, whoever gets the holeshot is going to have a huge advantage on the field.

The Bluewater is the host hotel of the event. I would check with them first. All TROPHYLITE teams will be parked together.

That was my truck. We were just messing around out there. The truck is ready and prepped for PAB to destroy at Parker, we didnt want to do a bunch of work to re prep it.. Andy McMillin drove it for a lap on friday. It was really fun riding with him, he is really smooth and really fast.

Best Western was sold out when I called last weekend....and Bluewater wouldn't answer their phone on either line I tried. If you find something, let us know...I'll be trying more tonight.

Edit...Bluewater says they're out as well. But I did manage 2 rooms at Best Western, I have to check out of 1 in th morning Saturday, and check in to another after the race...but at least I have rooms now.

So do you know if you have to start/line up by numerical order side by side or is the draw order the order you get to pick your spot or gate? Cause the inside may be shortest but depending on the turn it does always play out......

I am a little late in responding, but I am just glad it isn't Heidi coming to race the TL at Parker. We already have to compete with her in the 7sx (Severson) and she is just tuff and truly a great competitor. If Matt was putting her in one of the TL's I think we may have to sit this one out.

I am looking for a couple able bodies to help out with pit stop during race, anyone thats gonna be out at the race thats not already helping someone out, had a few of my crew get called into work and wont be able to make race, PM me for details, theres a sweet free T-shirt and dinner in it for ya :-)

If they're starting where the bikes do...I'm guessing (keep in mind guestimate) 75-100 yards +/- before the narrow left hand turn. I'll see if I have a good photo from last year.
