Robby still has more wins (counting New Hamsphire and the Twin 125) than Burton has in the 31 car, and RCR is clearly better now. Just food for thought.

Overall, yes Burton is a better stock car driver. Robby would be my pick for every other form of racing in a Burton/Gordon comparison.

great point, but burton does'nt have a background in anything else. no deserts in virginia [i think that's where the burtons are from.] and from the way ole' dw talks about open wheel, most stock car drivers are skeerd of indy-type racing or can't turn right.

RCR wouldn't have him, too much attitude. Keeping Burton and Bowyer at bay sometimes is hard enough. Harvick would probably have false teeth by now. It was great for a learning experience, but RG wants it RG's way it seems. Driver/owners generally don't work out well. Look at Waltrip, too much on his plate, besides the fact that he's a deusch (sp).

I got RG in the game until 45, then he's out, and only racing dirt, might still own the team, or part of it.

What everyone needs to understand is that Robby Gordon has only won championships in off-road, and only five or six of those.....many off-roaders have much more stellar resumes than Robby.

He has won many races, but as far as being a champion....Robby isn't.

He gets into a stock car and races against guys that have won CHAMPIONSHIPS in almost every division they have raced in.

So with that being said don't get all depressed and suicidal when Robby runs around at the tail of the field. He is an explosive driver and has the ability to run up front any week......just not every week.

Very true, but he's an underdog (with talent) and thats why Im a fan. Its no fun to root for a driver that wins, too many bandwagon fans. I mean could you imagine if Robot Uprising had twice as many fans? That would be awful! :D

Robby Gordon IS a Champion off road racer no matter how you cut it.

everything else, well, hes just won a few races here and there. Until he focuses ALL the racing energy into one series at a time, thats how it will probably stay.

if still in the 31, do you think he'd be leading the points like burton is? personally no.
it's not about win totals, it's about consistancy. robby has never been real consistant.
who's fault is that? how many crew chiefs, owners, crew guys, manufactures can you blame? there is still only one common denominator, the guy holding the wheel.

don't get me wrong, he's a talented guy for sure. he just isn't a stock car championship talented type of guy.

I'd like to see robby back in an open wheel car once they merge
