KLAUS: Thanks for your johnny-on-the-spot coverage --- Can you comment on the level and type of media coverage at the event? Was there TV coverage on the local news? Does Hungary/Romania have some ESPN-type show? Was this the biggest thing going on in SE Europe that week? Was the entire population into it, say, like the Tour de France, or was it just a thing for motorsports fans? Finally, did you see any/many hot women over there? Bring one back? :) haha

The TV coverage was unreal. There was a daily TV show on the air on various European networks. All over Europe there is Eurosport and its their ESPN equivalent. Not sure if Eurosport covered the event. Typically they do cover A.S.O shows. The show was played in a loop the same evening in the pit area in a A.S.O vip area and I got a chance to watch it once or twice. The production was grade-a and had very stunning shots in it. I am pretty sure you can do a torrent search on it and download the shows.
The A.S.O also provided a media room at every stage that had fast wireless internet and reserved tables for various news outlets. We used the facility often. On the special stages the amount of photographers both professional and amateur (read cell phone camera) was similar to a SCORE or BITD race.
Hot women? Yeah if not being overweight makes you hot then 99% of all females where smoking hot.

That was quite a wreck. I guess he missed the down arrows! The most they could hope for is an entry like this in the roadbook. Then again, there may have been nothing at all in the roadbook for that point.
