Here we go with what should be a great race.

For al the Robby fans lets not forget he won a Busch race here, actually with RGM.

Unfortunately, the weekend is not starting well. Over 30 minutes into practice and the #7 has yet to see the track. Looks like that fill in crew chief is going well....

Edit: Hey 35 minutes and he is on track... :(

richmond is always great race. they need more tracks like it. rg has run well there and he's run terrible.

Well, this is a impound race with only one practice session. I hope they don't spend the whole time wrenching and find out on race day it didn't work!

No, he wont. He made this comment a few weeks ago too. I think hes just trying to give the negative fans some hope.

Ill only really get down about this season if the road courses go poorly or he starts missing races.

RGM is solidly in the top 35 (he still would be even if he didnt win the 100 pt appeal) and has finished 8th at Daytona and 11th at Talladega. Its a single car owner/driver team, theres nothing to be down about. Hopefully one of the road courses will bring a win this year. At the point RGM wins a Cup race, I will say RGM has been a success.

Apparently RG's chassis are much different than most other cup teams out there. Info sharing is very helpful, but doesn't transfer over exactly when you are operating on different chassis.

Think positive guys. Road course win this year = successful year. If he blows at Sonoma and the Glen, then the fat lady is getting ready to sing at RGM...

About ready to go another lap down. This is one painful race, especially before the halfway point!

On the flip side, how about AJ? They even mentioned him on TV. Ive said it before, Ill say it again, the move RGM really missed was selling half the team to Team Redbull before the '07 season. He would have been the #1 driver, remained part owner, and almost certainly would have better cars that he currently has. Plus Red Bull is way more tasty with Jaeger and Vodka than Monster... :)

Busch overdrove into the corner and lost it. Even at his lowest point, there was still about a car and a half worth of width between Earnhardt and the yellow line. If the contact would have come door to door, I might be less insistant. But realize he hit the back quarter of Jrs. car. He is to blame, period. Im not even a Junior fan per say...

Kyle Busch just ate his words from last night, its sad hes too stupid and arrogant to realize it...

Every angle I saw it was kyles fault. He drove to hard in the corner. When he hit the corner the first thing he did is turn right. Well when you drive to hard in a corner the first thing you do is get hard on the brakes. Then you get loose so you correct by turning the wheel to the right. Then you move up the track. If someone is there then SORRY!!!

KB didn't turn right until after the contact with JR.. did it juut to keep from spinnig himself.

KB's right front contacted JR right in front of JR's rear tire.

I love JR, KB... not so much... but I still say it was a bonehead move for JR to not give him the room, why risk it?

A lane and a half is plenty of room. Watch again.

I guess Jr. should have rode around the wall and let the asshat by, haha.

Its Buschs fault, anyone thathas raced would realize as the inside car trying to overtake it is your responsibility to stay off the other car. Jr. gave him a lane and a half, and just to prove it was asshats fault the contact came on Jrs rear quarter.

Mumz, your completely right about the attrition... they DID however get the car moving fairly good by the end of the night. He started passing cars, just didnt gain spots being that he was 3 or 4 laps down by that point.

I'll take 26th over 41st any day!

Tristar.. I know you hate KB like he tapped your girl, but Jr's entry line into that corner was to slam the door.. had KB not been there, it wouldn't have been a lane and a half by the apex, it would been maybe half a lane.. that little kawky kyle at the same time, was indeed to hot and rode up the track... and I hope he shat himself trying to leave the track. :D

I think Kyle B is going to have a reality check soon. By someone from his own team. I think he knows you can't f with Jr. like that. By the number of fingers I saw, I'd guess his RV wasn't the cleanest thing rolling out. This whole "Rowdy" persona he gave himself is rediculous. The kid can drive, and has driven great thus far. Apparently you and I were watching two different races. Slamming the door is NOT leaving a car and a half width between your (JRs) door and the yellow line. Jrs line was similar in every corner before that, and side by side racing didnt seem to be an issue at that point.

I hate anyone that is a hypocrite, not just Busch. The next few races should be interesting...

The fact he even threw fuel on the fire by saying the Junior nation must have had to many Budweisers or Amps and were saying he (Kyle) was number one when he clearly finished second just adds to the stupidity. Hes going to get hurt, the only question is if will be on or off the track.

Tristar is correct, KB drove into the corner way too hot and then did the old "8 tires are better than 4" to make it through the turn. He is a complete moron and needs to be taken down a few notches!!!

We all know that Toyota has DW in their pocket but it seems as though the whole Fox group is in Toyota's pocket. I was appauled at there "it obviously not KBs fault" montra during the cleanup. It was very obvious that KB drove in WAY too hot and he was 100% to blame and should have been dropped back before the restart! Larry Mac started to say that he wasn't happy and it was KBs fault then someone at Fox must have said something over their headsets because then everyone said how they were 100% confident that it wasn't on purpose and not one of them said he drove in too hot!!!

May 5th, 2008, 09:42
I agree with Loomis, the only lane and a half I saw was for a church mouse, not a race car. With that being said, KB went in way to hot, that is why he lost it. Jr could have given him a bit more room, he held him pretty tight, being KB had his nose under Jr's door, but I do not think it would have mattered. I think KB would have gotten into him even if there was room, he wobbled pretty good in the turn before as well. His jack assed comments after the race are going to get him spun out in the near future. He is quickly taking over where his brother left off in the nascar's most hated driver department. I can not wait to watch him get spun........I hope he pisses off POS pretty soon, maybe POS will do to him what he did to Mears......That was amazing....DW up there making excuses as they show the replay with him throttling the car as he is trying to drive thru Mears....Priceless

Looks to me Mears had that coming. Maybe he had a tire go down or something broke. But the #5 drove straight into him. On the other hand,POS has a get out of jail free card and I doubt anything will happen. Maybe Probation. If that was TS,RG or Kurt B doing that to Hendrick car, I can only imagine the penalty that would come down.

Are you kidding me? While I agree with your thoughts, Nascar would never do that......This is a part of the new "Let drivers be drivers" routine. They will give him 25/25/$25,000 at the worst. I wonder if they did a drug/alcohol test on him after being parked

On a different note, how did Robby finish 26th, and drop to 29th in points? That's rediculous.
