I never start these threads, but there has already been two practices so someones gotta do it.

Robby was 30th in first practice and 31st in the second

qualifying tomorrow at 11:00am, hopefully he can pick it up

In South Carolina right now and was at Pickens County Raceway yesterday. They sure love their NASCAR out here. I was reading in the local paper out here about how the fuel issue is affecting the Nascar teams. Showed RG 29th in points. Hope he can pick it up.

Rough go at this track last year (start 33 & finish 38 - 50 laps down) but 2006 was pretty good - started 24th and finished 13th and got 5 bonus points for leading. Average finish here is 24th.

I wish he could qualify better. He starts every race in a hole.

This is the first track I was able to see Robby race at, back when he was in the Coors car. I think I was the only fan who cheered for him there. The race is going to be intresting with the new surface and increased speeds, look for lots of Darlington stripes.

Answer from the other thread (posted by a moderator)

Fly used the F word followed by Mexico in big bold green and red letters. RDC doesn't like to modify or delete posts, and banning people is usually more hassle than it's worth (they never learn). Fly broke the rules and used bad language. Fly is no different from the new kid that signs up and then spouts off with foul language, he broke the forum rules and to keep it fair he was banned like any other user would be. Had Fly used a little more restraint he would not have been banned.

Fly enjoys.... All things Robby Gordon, racing, Chinese tractors, and online shenanigans.

Jeff Gordon is crying like a biotch again.......He wants nascrap to look into the 99 team for changing the yaw of the rear ends. Actually alot of teams have jumped on this band wagon recently with great results.......John Darby was very quick to point out that Hendrick was the FIRST team to use this method of adjustment on the COT's and Roush/99 team was the LAST team to try this. Absolutely hilarious.....He sure had no problem running T-Rex back in the day now did he.

RG is like an anker with no chain, he just keeps going down. After seeing him qualifying and smacking the wall, I could look into my cristal ball and tell everybody he would stink up the place durring the race . Why would Nascar or anybody for that mater want RG in the champions race, it gets pretty borring rooting for sombody that allways race after race runs multaple laps down from the leader, with a londry list of reasons, and what or why would this race be any differant?? I wonder if he buys the same amount of gas as the leaders, at what ever MPG he gets, laps down could be a cost cutting move for RGM??? Pretty soon he is going to be out of the top 35 and will stop making races all together at this rate. I feel he needs to pull his head out of his behind, and start letting sombody grow some roots as crew cheif and quit being mister everything including crew cheif. This revolving door policy he has is a complete joke. Now, attack me at will.

One car team that is owned by the driver. Im not quite sure what you expect. Once again one win at a road course this year and in my mind the season was a success in todays mega team nascar society.

And to be fair, he had some great lap times during that race, but he lost 4 or 5 of those laps changing a battery. If your that upset, pick a driver that can win races every week. I prefer the underdog scenario.

Wow,what a race. You half to give it to the #18 thou. Hit's the wall a few times,5 lug nut problems,Drive through penalty and still spanks the field. To bad someone needs to pull him behind the shop and open up a can on him. RG had a fast car this week. Just got hit with some problems. It could be alot worst. He could be out of the top 35 and not making races. When you switch to a new Manufacture at the last minute who isn't competitive to begin with, there is going to problems.

I do not know, but why would you want to, they only cover the top 5 all damned race with like one run down per race

Now, attack me at will.

no body would like to see rg do well more than me, but it's hard to argue alot of these points. i still think he outta just race offroad and rally stuff and leave nascar completely or just race the road courses. be one of them "ringers".

Might be hard to argue some of those points, but a guy has got to make a living! I would make my living the way he is as well, I wouldn't care if people said I should or not!

Brewer was much worse than Hammond in my opinion...

I agree, Brewer is much worse than Hammond but Hamhead said one of the stupidest things I've ever heard about racing this week. He was talking about the all star race and said that back in the day nascar was only for beer drinking rednecks but once nascar got an all star race, people started saying 'hey, check out nascar, they've got an all star race so they must be all stars too (like football and basketball)'.

He was trying to say that fans saw nascar as a legitimate sport because they brought in an all star race.

That was probably written for him by some Fox/NASCAR writers...
