This is the closest that the WSORR and CORR series will get to each other this season.
If you aren't in the running for a CORR championship after Primm and you are looking for some seat time, some good payout, and a fun weekend of racing at a world class racing facility, you should seriously consider making the haul. Or, if you are a fan that is tired of baking in the CA sun, come to the green hills of wheatland, MO. If it happens to be hot, just duck inside the air conditioned lounge/restauraunt and watch the races from there for awhile. The track is within an hour of the Lake of the Ozarks resort area if you are interested in making more than just a race weekend out of your trip.
Check it out for yourself at http://www.lucasoilspeedway.com
Online Pit spot reservations (all the pit spots are paved/cement BTW) will begin over the weekend at the Lucas Oil Speedway website.

While the CORR season is getting heated up...WSORR racers are thrashing to be ready for the first race in Wheatland. Here are a few pics from some testing we did in Crandon on Monday in our Bendix/Toyo Tires WSORR Pro-2wd.

Any way you look at it...2008 should go down in the books as the biggest year in short course off-road racing......the biggest year yet, that is;)

That's great! The more the merrier.
Night racing is really something to experience....little to no dust if it's done right, the fans are comfortable and the trucks look amazing under the lights.
I know I sound like a broken record, but If you aren't in the points race in CORR after the first two weekends, but planned to run the entire season, why not drop one CORR race from your budget and do Wheatland instead...with the higher entry and lower payback in CORR, and increased carnage of 30+ trucks, it will probably be an economical and enjoyable experience, even with the tow distance. From what I understand, you are allowed to miss one CORR weekend and still stay in the season ending points fund...right?
I know it's probably about $2000 total for fuel to tow back and forth from CA, but finish on the podium once in any of the Pro classes and you'll make that money back and more, and get some TV coverage on SPEED for your sponsors...
Besides, if CORR goes big like they want to you'll need to get used to traveling East. ;)

If you are headed from parts North of Chicago, avoid the 294 Toll Road thru Chicago, and take 39 South. You will thank your self later.
I 55 south and North bound lanes are tore up around Joliet as well.
Good luck everyone this weekend

We'll be pulling out on Thursday around 1-2PM. Last year we took 151 all the way into Iowa and then turned south on 24/218 I believe....our rig doesn't do much over 60-65mph anyways so the freeway is not of any major benefit...
