It's getting harder and harder to pick in my fantasy league too, too bad I can't pick Kyle every week.

Although most of us are wishing for success at Dover. I don't see it happening. He will be in Baja and back to Dover. I don't think with someone setting up his car, besides PJ that it is what he will like.
I just think Robby's Nascrap operation is headed in the wrong direction at this time.
I really hope that he has much success at Dover, but it's hard to see that happening.

Two wins this year, one road course and one oval. I am sticking to that. Anyone want to wager candy bars? :)
The problem is so many people told RG he couldnt do the owner driver thing successfully, hes going to prove them wrong or die trying. His best opportunity was two years ago when Red Bull Racing wanted to buy into half his team and have him as the owner/driver. I think he would be further along at this point, although he might not have Jim Beam behind him as much as they are now. Obviously the Monster deal for the Hummer would have never happened though, and I doubt Red Bull would have wanted to sponsor the Hummer and the VWs...
Just my opinion

Why can't the 7 team test at Pocono? There must be a driver out there whose input is worth something. You'd think the new CC would want to try some setups.
Hopefully GEM shares some info with RGM or they will be terrible at Pocono. Benched for a race last year and not participating in the test this year....WTF????

I was a Chad Little / John Deere fan for many years, actually even before John Deere came on board to Mark Rypien Motorsports, trust me I know how to be positive when the situation is bleak, haha.
I have always been an RG fan since back in the CART days, but it seems when Little bowed out of Nascar and I put my full fan effort behind RG, I brought my bad fan luck with me. Sorry guys, Robbys winless years are all my fault! :)
Come to think of it Chad won a lot of races in Busch (Bayer car) before I got fully on board, maybe I am cursed...
Honestly though, that John Deere car was great, very easy to spot on the track. Too bad it was always at the back of the pack!

Dover Preview
Robby Gordon once again prepares for double duty action – he will race more than 850 miles this weekend while running both the Baja 500 and the Best Buy 400. Widely regarded as one of the best off-road racers of all time, Gordon’s weekend will begin in Ensenada, Mexico for the 40th annual Tecate SCORE Baja 500 on Saturday while NCTS regular Matt Crafton practices and qualifies the No. 7 Jim Beam Dodge in Dover. Immediately following the conclusion of the Baja 500, Gordon will make his way cross country to Dover to start the Best Buy 400 on Sunday.
Thursday will mark a day in history, when Gordon is honored at the 5th annual Monster Energy Baja Legacy party and inducted into the Carreras Cantina Hall of Fame.
Gordon has 13 starts at the Monster Mile with three top-ten finishes.
TV and Radio Times – Qualifying is set for Friday, May 30th at 3:10 p.m. (ET) on SPEED TV, MRN, and Sirius. Race time on Sunday is 2:00 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcast on Fox, MRN, and Sirius.
Dover– “This is going to be an exciting weekend of racing for me, driving almost 1000 miles and flying across the country. After his recent win in Charlotte, I have all the confidence in the world that Matt (Crafton) will get the Jim Beam Dodge dialed in for Sunday’s race. I finished in the top-ten at Dover last year after completing the Baja 500, and I think our Jim Beam Dodge will perform well on the fast, one-mile concrete track again this year. At some point, our bad luck has to go away so that all of this team’s hard work can be paid off,” Gordon commented.
Baja 500 - “This year we are going to the Baja 500 on a mission to not only win the race, but to gain more experience in the Monster Energy / Toyo Tires Hummer for the 2009 Dakar Rally, which is only seven months away. It will be interesting to see how the Hummer’s unrestricted 700 hp engine performs in its Baja 500 debut. This should be a fun race and a beneficial practice run for the 2009 Dakar Rally,” stated Gordon.

HAAS Penalties announced and they make RGM's look light! 150 points, 6 weeks suspension for the CC and Car Chief, each CC gets a $100,000 fine and NASCAR keeps both the #66 and #70 cars! Oh yeah and the owner is still in prison, its not good to be at HAAS right now.
NASCAR has issued penalties, fines and suspensions to the #66 and #70 teams in the Sprint Cup Series. The #66 car driven by Scott Riggs and the #70 car driven by Johnny Sauter were found to be in violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 20-3.1.3A (wing mounting locations were not as specified by the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rule book). The infractions were discovered May 24 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. As a result, Riggs and #66 car owner Joe Custer have been penalized 150 championship driver and 150 championship owner points, respectively, as have Sauter and #70 car owner Margaret Haas. Both the crew chiefs and the car chiefs for the two cars – Bootie Barker and Derick Jennings for the #66 and Dave Skog and Thomas Harris for the #70 – have been suspended from the next six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events, suspended from NASCAR until July 9 and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31. Additionally, Barker and Skog have each been fined $100,000 apiece. The penalty also includes NASCAR’s confiscation of team 66 Serial Number HMS 12 06 415 race car and team 70 Serial Number HMS 04 08 507 race car.(NASCAR PR)(5-28-2008)

Interesting idea:D:D:D:D:D:D

green flag pitstops start cycling?.... is it worth waiting as long as you can hoping for a caution to gain a lap?....

Some 20 spots better than he started could be a lot worse. Loooooooooong way to go.
WSB on speed, INDY car on ABC, no wonder I get little done on Sunday afternoons.

I hope so, it sure would add some more credibility to the race....Briscoe just took the lead in the Irl race with 48 laps to go...I hope Danica catches up and punts him like he did to her at the 500.........RG losing to much speed in the corners

Dover Post Race
Dover, DE (June 1, 2008) – After Robby Gordon’s hopes of winning the Baja 500 ended early due to a hub failure at mile 115, he was anxious to make his way to Dover for Sunday’s Best Buy 400, which would be the first time that Gordon got behind the wheel of his No. 7 Jim Beam Dodge. Fellow Menards driver and recent NCTS winner, Matt Crafton, practiced and qualified the No. 7 in Gordon’s absence, which resulted in the No. 7 starting in 43rd position due to the NASCAR rules regarding a driver change. Regardless of starting position, Gordon was one of the biggest movers of the race, gaining 24 spots to finish 19th.
When the green flag fell at the Monster Mile, Gordon immediately commented that the car was very loose. To the team’s advantage, the first of five caution flags of the day flew due to a huge pile up on lap 17. Gordon was able to avoid the carnage, which resulted in a red flag to clean up the track. This gave ample time to discuss the loose handling with crew chief, Walter Giles. A decision was made to make major adjustments on the first pit stop of the day; the team opened the left front shock as well as made a track bar and tire pressure adjustments.
As the race progressed, the No. 7 Jim Beam Dodge continued to gain speed and track position to improve the car’s handling on every pit stop. By lap 75, the team was just outside the top-20 and maintained this position for most of the race. Despite the loose handling car, Gordon maintained top-five speeds on the track, but he lost the fight to gain his laps back as did the majority of the field. Only six cars finished on the lead lap. In the end, Gordon crossed the finish line in 19th position.
“I am satisfied with our finish today after our finishes in the last two points races,” Gordon stated immediately following the race. “We really struggled with loose race car in the beginning of the race, which would have resulted in better track position. Track position is so important and that was something that we lacked today, but I guess most of the other cars did too. Knowing that we can tune our equipment and run with the leaders (for the last 150 laps) gives me confidence for the upcoming races.”
This will be another busy week for Gordon as he heads to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Wednesday for the sold out Prelude to the Dream dirt late model race and then on to Pocono Raceway, one of the circuits most unique tracks. Catch coverage of the Pocono 500 on Sunday, June 8th at 1:30 p.m. EST on TNT.
