How long does anyone think it will be until we see a dezert program in the Menzies camp? I'd say 2 years max. Anyone else have an opinion?

i think it's just a matter of time, if its not a 100% sponsored effort by Menzies im sure someone out there will be running their colors and logo... if and when it happens im sure whoever they pick up will be one of the baddest big dogs in the desert !! that's for sure!...(umm lets see... ragland?? roeseler?? post?? bj??... )... I think Menzies has pushed the sport to a whole new level ... this is what this sport needed!! i have a feeling it wont be long before more companies/people make the same "big step"... i also think that once more and more people/companies start doing this you see big names on the side of cars/truck (i.e...tide...m&m.. ups...).. its not going to happen over night but soon we will be among racers that are sponsored by Home Depot that used to be "sponsored" by Lee's Lumber.... just my thoughts..HOPE IM RIGHT (some day) :)

good call dan but a lot shorter than 2 years thats for sure.... cant wait to see what rob mac can do in a 10 car... with only 3 people signed up from the menzie camp, im guessing it's a single seater?

Don't they already house Job's class 10 and I vaguely remember seeing another class 10 in one of the images in DS. I doubt they'll be racing in Baja though.

Steve and Bryce have ridden their bikes down in Baja. I would think right now they are concentrating on CORR but its certainly possible to see a desert effort in the future.

Desert racing especially in Baja could not be more different than Corr racing even if you tried to think up ways to make it different.
Desert racing is extreme perseverance, adventure up the wazoo and tons of factors that no one has any control over....You all know what I'm talking about.
Think about the DNF's and the nights spent out in the desert doing who knows what to get to the finish. Think about your friends and teammates who have been robbed or lost their lives down there.
Think about the time your chase truck broke down north of La Paz in the middle of nowhere with a 400K Trophy Truck on the trailer. No way your leaving that baby to go look for help. Actually contemplating hooking up the truck and trailer to the back of the Trophy Truck and pulling the whole circus down the road to La Paz, then suddenly Pab and Blue Bear yank you back to reality......Riding the bus up to Ensenada, a taxi to TJ and then walking across the border where Pab scoops you up because the chase truck broke and if you ain't home for Thanksgiving your wife will KILL you! Sitting on top of the summit with Jesse James and Pab checking the view. Hanging with Pab and Mark Post in the middle of a dry lake that is 112 degrees with no shade while they sip Tequila and bench race each other up and down Baja.....Awe man I LOVE DESERT RACING!!!!
Corr is awesome and incredibly entertaining but it ain't even close to the drama of a Desert race in Baja. Heck just parking your chase truck outside the hotel over night is a major adventure in Baja.....
You gotta really want it to race down there......Desert Racing has very little exposure and fame when compared with most other forms of racing including Corr....It's dirty, hard work, frustrating, expensive, with very little reward other than the deep satisfaction of overcoming......
I don't know the Menzies at all, zip, nil, nada, so maybe they have the desire to go through all of that for almost nothing in return....Time will tell.....
PS....It really seems to soften the blow if you can afford a private jet and a yacht........

If there racing Job's 10 car, watch out. We raced that car for two years. Other then a couple of grimlins, that car works.
Hope to seee the little rocket dust the course again.
