The refuel truck for the safety helicopters was sabotaged. It left one of the choppers sitting on the ground out of gas....

I heard about the sabotaging of the fuel also. I am hoping its the same as hearing a racer blame rolling over on a non-existant booby trap. We didn't have any problems with the police, if anything they seemed friendlier and happy to see us.

No problems for us, we had a great time. Only experience with the cops was when we blocked someone in at a taco stand, he just nicely asked us to move so the other car could get out.

As of now matter is un-resolved. Police are involved and so is Sal and Oscar. Seems to be headed toward a positive out come but who knows. Everyone cross their fingers.

Do you think this would be the case if the bike wasn't owned by Baja Bound?
Just asking?

I would like to think so but I cant speak for them. The tracker is a rental right? Then IRC would be involved and the so would score I guess.
With all the crime drama Sal has had to get complaints about over the last few months I think he is making a point to insure all SCORE participants have a safe and crime free visit. This would be a good way for him to show that and at a minimum would be a good public relations move not to mention it is the right thing to do.

We had absolutely no problems what so ever! On the drive down we noticed that the entire toll road seamed cleaner and definitely noticed an absence of Tijuana cops hanging out by the beginning/end of the toll road waiting for their meal ticket. One of my most uneventful Baja trips ever.

Myself and the Locos Mocos crew had a great trip. Some of us crossed in Tecate and some in TJ. Stayed in Ensenada Thursday night, went to Valley T Friday then over the summit to our pit. Crossed the border in Tecate today in just under an hour. No problems, great time as usual in Baja.

Yep same here - no problems at all! Was spectating solo so crossed at Tecate Friday afternoon to avoid poss. drama of TJ. Left my truck at Rancho Ojai and hit the road early Saturday morn. on my DRZ to the hwy 3 crossings and then to Borego. Crossed back over Saturday around 6PM - took about an hr.
