Hello,

Although we often disagree on political view, 97Desertsub (Donny) and I met in Baja :D

Donny is a cool cat and we ultimately share the passion for the sport....here it is a picture of us in Baja enjoying the sun....

I have to say this Randy Swink (Randy S) is one the nicest and coolest guys I have met in this hobby. He made sure we could compete despite our never-ending technical difficulties...Randy you are a class act and I want to thank you publicly for your concern towards our team and making sure your fellow racer friends could compete!

YOU ARE TOPS MAN! ;):D

Anyway, Thank you RDC for making it possible for friends to met and make this passion better....:)
On the lighter side of the news, I looked for PJC during contingency to shake his hand and wish him luck, but I kept on missing him every time ....I hope next race we could have a lil’ truce to have a beer and once back, keep the opinion war going :D

Well, I was also thinkin about how much FUN I had, how there was NO negative police/military encounters, and how wrong I have been in the past about Baja. It sure was nice to meet Gustavo and Omar, along with several other people who I know contribute to this site. Like Gus said, thanks RDC.

Sounds like an awesome trip. Glad everybody made it safe and had a good time. Thats why we love this so much. Sometimes you think, what the heck am I doing out here in the middle of Baja and for what? Later on, you just know you had a great time!

what a pleasant experience having donny helping out with our race effort. we never spoke of political differences, and he has great instincts about what things need to be done. when we hooked up at gustavo and omar's hotel, it was really like we knew one another forever with nary an ill word. i'm proud to have met with him, gustavo, omar and their crew. yep, donny is a good guy albiet a bit mis-guided. ja ja. hey donny, we found that clevis and we're gonna have it chromed for you bro. care to fill in the details for the folks? ja ja.

we had cooling issues and bbq'ed the motor near borrego. ranger handled well, did'nt fall victim to any of the carnage to ojos. did'nt hit anything too hard, made it back with all our sheet metal and fiberglass intact and despite hanging out on the side of the road waiting for the trailer in the heat, we had a real good time. thanks go out to score for staging a great event. good times. can't wait for the mil. thanks for asking nikal.

Can you remember a bunch of guys working as a pit crew (more like hungry wolves) at the main table with lots of $1......Each time one "car" arrived to the pit area, every one on the crew changed a tire, fixed a muffler or readjusted the high beams....lol

I think I ended up with a bit of it too. had snivels for some days now....
