I have been looking for an aluminum container for my luggage rack that was removable and lockable but none seemed to be right. After speaking with Marty from MME Fabrication in Orange, CA... he built me this container after a rough drawing. Needless to say, that is what it is all about... taking an idea and improving on it. Now no more duffle bag put into a trash bag:rolleyes: If anyone is looking for aluminum work, MME does an excellent job! Thanks Marty.

It has 1/8" weatherstripping around the entire door area. The latches are a 180 degree turn to lock type, after you ratchet down the door, it is sealed pretty good.

That would be him...
After a quick discussion and a very rough drawing on my part, he went to town and made what you see. It sure is nice to know that good old fashioned customer service is still alive and well. I am already planning on a few more projects that I need him to do.
I am going to use Tool Black for aluminum and then hit it with a couple coats of Permalac.

Nooo don't powdercoat it, it looks way to bad ass as it is. haha
One think I think would be cool though, I can tell if it's held together with bolts or rivets, but maybe replace them with anodized black hardware, that'd look awesome.
