Mitsubishi have showed to the world their new car designed with one clear objective... win the Dakar.
But the best news for the fans (at least the Portuguese ones) is that the car will participate in the last round of the FIA Cup of Bajas, in this case the Baja Portalegre 500 disputed in the last days of October.
In the press release of ralliart : "Following its extensive development program, the Racing Lancer will make its official debut on the Baja Portalegre / Portugal, round six of the 2008 FIA Cross-Country Rally World Cup (Thursday October 30 - Sunday November 2). The car will be in the hands of Stéphane Peterhansel, the Dakar's most successful competitor with a total of nine outright wins - on two and four wheels - under his belt."
So for us around here we will have some very busy times in the next few months... One round of the local championship where will be some X-Raid cars, then just 2 days after the we will have the dakar series, after that, another local race with again X-Raid cars and finally the Portuguese Baja Portalegre.
Regards :)
