Hey Guys,

I am looking for some advice surrounding tube benders. I am trying to get into fabrication, and considering making an investment in a tube bender. Before I drop a grand on a tube bender and dies though, I was wondering if it makes sense to try to rent one for the couple days that I might need it. Is it feasible that I can CAD out my design and bend all the tubes at once - or is this flawed thinking? IE: is this the sort of thing where you need to "bend as you go" to make sure everything still fits. If renting is an option, where would you recomend? Also, if any guys out there aren't using their bender, and wouldn't mind letting me borrow it I would be more than happy to make some kind of deal. Thanks in advance!

A god way to go is to get rough lengths of the tubes you need bent, and then take the tube, pics or drawings with you to a shop/ friends' house with a bender. Make your bends, best you can, and modify as you go. If you want to come up the hill to Costa Mesa, you can bend your stuff here. My bender just sits waiting lazily most days.....
