Im tying to find the actual difference in size between these 2 tires. Anyone have a 39" project mounted on a wheel handy to measure? I can get the Toyo's size off the web.
Thanks

BFGs 39" measures just under 38.3"
A TOYO 37" measures 37"
When compared side by side _-- This is what you would see approximately.
We are really impressed with the Toyo Tire package. IMO it is a better all around tire. The DOTs may weigh quite a bit comparatively but we are running TOYO Projects and they are nearly 20lbs. less then the DOTs

Thats good to know. I was wondering why the Toyos seemed so much heavier. My 37x17 DOT Toyos weigh in at 126 lb on a 17x8.5 wheel. Heavy!

Plain and simple it is a heavy duty tire designed to last a long time on and offroad (When properly maintained).
W/o the wheel the Tire is something like 92 lbs.

20lbs is huge. Do you know where they shaved that weight off and are they still as durable as the DOT's? Have you guys seen any sidewall issues with the Toyo Projects?

The Toyo projects performed outstanding during the testing and the race. We have had no issues.
The look & shape are identicle. When we used to run DOTs I did notice a blue color on the sidewalls, maybe after heating up.

my 37x17 bfgs weight 119 lbs on my GR beadlocks... the lighter tire will save wheel bearings/hub
