I dropped my tranny off last night to get repaired and already know that my case and nose cone are history and possibly a bent axle tube.
I know you pretty much replace the R&P every time but how much are you guys spending on a tranny rebuild on average per rebuild?
Just trying to get used to the sticker shock.

I wanna say parts for mine was just over 1000, I had to do new axle tubes and 1st and 3rd gear along with all the other "regular" stuff, I am at work right now and dont have the invoice to referance but that is from what I remember

The rebuild we just did for the prerunner cost us $380 (+ about $250 for SAW axles) and that was with R&P replacement.
Who did you decide to go with?

The cheapest that I've found is Mohr Performance. Last time I checked, it was $350 for the tear down and rebuild + parts....depending on what's broke.

It really depends on who you use, average builder charges 400-500 for labor. If your tranny guy is charging you 300-400 and not magging parts and you think WHOA I'm getting a great deal, keep it up this equals more starters and less finishers. My bills on average were about 6-800 if I was using a GOOD BUILDER and there wasn't much wrong....sync's,R/P (aka TRANSAXLE ENGINEERING).My .02 is use a builder that has good mag this will save you tons in the long run.

I have another one if you want it. Its a little heavy because of the 10 1/2" RP but you can polish it real shiny like King shocks to make lighter. : )
